8 General Options
In order to display configuration of the general operation data in the TCR
Twin Safe, click on the “General“ button in the main function bar or equiv-
alent menu option in the menu bar. The corresponding dialogue will appear
in the display and will contain the following Tabs: System Status, Periodi-
cal Operation Times, Aperiodical Operation Times, TS Options, Copy
System Data, Journal and Daylight saving time.
By clicking on the selected LED the TSConfig32 will provide detailed infor-
mation regarding the problem in the corresponding component assembly.
A self test can be executed with the help of the “Start Self Test” button.
The current system status will consequently be displayed. A click on the
“Display History” button will initiate the output of the last command car-
ried out by the TCR Twin Safe. When the “Last Error” button is pressed,
the last error that has occurred will be display. The software versions of all
the modules found in the TCR Twin Safe can be displayed by clicking on the
“Software Versions” button.
Four LED’s extend the dialogue in providing information concerning the sta-
tus conditions of the deposit and withdrawal functions (“Deposit” / “With-
drawal”) and displays the current alarm status conditions (“External Alert” /
“Silent Alert”).
Important If the TCR Twin Safe is blocked, then no changes to the operating times
may be made and no “Open Door" commands executed; therefore it is not
possible to carry out any service procedures or revision during these times.
TSConfig32 shows on this menu segment the current configuration for all
four time windows for the seven weekdays. In order to change a time,
select the desired time field and then edit the contents of the field. The time
is entered in hh:mm format (Hours:Minutes). The entry 24:00 will be trans-
ferred to the safe at 23:59 and serves as a flag so that the safe will not be
switched off when the first time field for the next day begins with 00:00.
When a click is made on the “Update Times” button, all the time windows
will be checked for their consistency and if correct, transferred to the safe.
Note The “Update Times” button must absolutely be pressed, because other-
wise the changes will not become active!
Remarks:
The TCR Twin Safe does not check to see that the switch-on and switch-off
times overlap. If the switch-on time is defined later than the switch-off time,
then the TCR Twin Safe will be blocked the whole day.
The switch-on and switch-off times will be initiated immediately.
Configuration can be carried out here using the information relating to the
date (e.g. holidays) and special operating times. In this way holidays or spe-
cial working days that do not fall within normal periodical operation times,
can be taken into account. The aperiodical operation times are however
placed within periodic operation times, this means that during existing ape-
riodic operation times the periodic operation time will not be taken into
consideration. At delivery of the the TCR Twin Safe no aperiodic operation
times will have been defined.
In the range “Alarm Settings“ menu option you can configure a factor for
the withdrawal time period at occurrence of an alarm (Field Alarm Faktor).
The value will be transferred to the TCR Twin Safe when you click on the
“Set Alarm Factor“ button. In order to simulate an alarm click on the
“Activate Alarm” button. To deactivate the alarm once again, click on the
“Deactivate Alarm” button.
The alarm can also switch itself off after a certain period of time. In order to
activate this option, click on the checkbox “Automatic Alarm Reset” but-
ton. In this way an edit box will be activated where the reset time can be
entered.

Additional explanations:
• This curve must be defined for amounts in national currency; that is, for
currencies with the currency factor 1. The delay times for foreign curren-
cies are multiplied by the currency factor of the foreign currency.
• In the event of an alarm the delay time is multiplied by the alarm factor.
• The delay is counted down before feeding of the bank notes from the
TCR Twin Safe is started.
• When the command „Empty roll storage module“ is executed, the delay
is only counted down if this is requested in the telegram data.
• In TCR Twin Safe you must first define the number of classes and then
the values of the individual classes.
• Up to 10 classes can be defined.

The “Copy Configuration and Operation Data“ option contains the follow-
ing selection fields:
1. You have the possibility to specify a time period from which the journal
lines will be loaded from. To do this, mark the radio button ”By Range”
option. Both the date and time settings can be entered into the four sub-
sequent fields from when and until when the journal date should be
loaded. If you would like to load the present day (today) starting from
midnight up to the current time, then you can enter in the times using
the tabulator key. The cursor will jump from one text field to the next
and carries out a standard initialization.
2. Alternatively, there is also the possibility to load the last xxx lines of the
journal. To do this, you must activate the radio button “Last xxx Lines”,
xxx is the string for the number of lines.
4. “All Lines” will load all of the available lines from out of the journal file.
In order to load the specified data journal lines, click on the “Load Journal”
button. The individual lines will subsequently be displayed in the lower part
of the dialogue field.
The loaded journal files can be exported as ASCII files when a click is made
on the “Export Data” button. It will open up a dialogue box that allows
you to specify a file name / path for the journal file. Subsequently, the data
will then be written into the file.
To make a time change click on the “New“ button. This will open a dia-
logue where data can be input (date, time, shifting plus or minus). To delete
an entry choose it from the list then click on “Delete“.
To modify an entry choose it from the list and click on “Modify“.
9 Safemaster
As an option, one or more Safemaster units can be connected to the TCR
Twin Safe. They allow objects of value to be processed that cannot be han-
dled by the roll storage module’s of the TCR Twin Safe because of their
dimensions or quality (foreign currencies, coins, cheques, banknotes of poor
quality etc.).
The number of drawers can be displayed at any time, whenever the Safe-
master has been configured in the TCR Twin Safe.
Important:
Whenever a Safemaster is configured in the TCR Twin Safe, the connection
to the Safemaster will test the state of the connection every time the „Test"
command is executed.
The type of Safemaster cannot be changed without first executing a new-
configuration procedure.
So that the drawers of the Safemaster can be used by the TCR Twin Safe, a
drawer currency must first be defined for every account. A drawer currency
is made up of an index text and the physical drawer number. The TCR Twin
Safe will generate a currency related index, over which the deposit and
withdrawal procedures are made.
Drawer operation is also possible with the Safemaster system without actual
connection of a Safemaster unit. This however must then be configured
using the physical drawer number equal to zero (0).
A number of various delay times can be set for operation of the Safemaster.
9.1.1 Configuration
In order to carry out configuration of the general TCR Twin Safe operation
data, please click on the “SafeMaster“ button in the main function line or
on the equilivant menu point in the menu option bar. The corresponding
dialogue will then appear in the display and contain the following tabs:
SafeMaster General, SafeMaster Drawer Currency and SafeMaster
Drawer Delay Times.
By selection of the buttons you have the possibility to display on-screen sort-
ing of currencies or drawers.
Use the “New Drawer Currency” button in order to configure a new cur-
rency to a drawer. A dialogue window will be displayed where the currency
code can be entered. The index text is an additional identification. It should
be used in order to describe more fully the corresponding drawer currency
(coins, cheques, etc.). The number of the drawer is required as the last entry
The new drawer currency will be registered in the root directory of the dia-
log.
Using the “Delete Drawer Currency” button, you can delete a selected
drawer currency entry in the root directory.
The following delay times are used in conjunction with the SafeMaster and
can be changed or set:
With the help of the “Unlock SafeMaster” button you will be able to open
all the drawers of the SafeMaster in sequence.
Drawer specific modifications can be carried out in the lower part of the dia-
logue field. First you must select the corresponding drawer and confirm
using the “Modify Delay Time” button. After this a dialogue window will
appear into which the new delay time can be entered.
In order to open a certain drawer, it must first be selected from out of the
list box. After this, the drawer will be opened after the defined delay time
shown in the field „Remaining time“ (countdown) has started to run down
and the “Open Drawer” button has been pressed.
By clicking on the “Empty Drawer” button the cash contents of all the
drawers will be reset. Before this procedure commences the TSConfig32 will
request authentification by another member of the bank personnel (four-
eye principle). This dialogue prevents the same user, (same user ID) to log-in
a second time over a different user level. This means that two different users
(different user ID’s) must log-in to confirm successful authentification!
The current delay time will be displayed. They can now be changed; the
range allowed is 0-9999 seconds. At delivery of the TCR Twin Safe the delay
time for each drawer will have been set to 0 seconds.
After you have selected the drawer with the help of the Combobox, you will
be able to enter the new time into the delay time field (in secs.) in order to
set the unlocking delay time for this SafeMaster drawer. It will only be pos-
sible to open the drawers after this time period has elapsed.
All of the drawer currencies will be deleted and the Safemaster registered as
not configured.
Important:
The configuration will also be deleted if the contents are not equal to 0.
If drawer currencies are defined using the physical drawer = 0, (e.g. coin
drawers), then they will not be deleted using this command.
This command can also be executed when a Safemaster is connected and a
current configuration must be deleted.
If the communication to a configured Safemaster is no longer functioning
(corresponding error messages at start-up and Safemasters operations),
then the configuration can be deleted using this command.
