cut four template C from each: 1848-01; 1848-03; 1849-02; 1850-01; 1850-02; 1851-01; 1851-02; 1851-03; 1852-01.

cut two template C from 1849-01.

cut three template F from each: 1848-01; 1849-02; 1850-01; 1850-03; 1851-03; 1851-31; 1852-01; 1852-02;
1853-02.

cut six template D from each: 1848-03; 1849-03; 1851-01; 1852-03; 1852-31; 1853-01; 1853-03; 1854-02; 1854-03
cut eight template D from 1848-02, one template F from 1849-01, six template F from 1849-03, one template E
from 1854-04 and four 3 1/2” squares from 1850-04.

Bread & Butter 2 1/2” Strips:


1895-01: 28 template A; 24 template B
1895-02: 24 template E

1896-01: two 1 1/4” x 26 1/2” and two 1 1/4” x 31”.

1896-02: 24 template E
1897-01: Stitch three full strips together then cut into two 2” x 44 1/2”.

Quilter’s Garden Pixie Strips:

cut two 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” and two 2 1/2” x 19 1/2” from each strip: 1849-01; 1849-02.

cut four 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” from 1849-03.

cut one each 1 1/4” x 21 1/2” and 1 1/4” x 26”: 1850-02; 1850-03.

cut two each 1 1/4” x 20 1/2” and 1 1/4” x 24 1/2” from 1850-04.
cut five 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” from 1851-01.

cut four 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” from each: 1851-02; 1853-02; 1854-03.


cut three 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” from each: 1851-31; 1852-01; 1854-02.

cut two 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” from each: 1853-01; 1853-03.


cut 11 template B from 1854-04.

Note: For ease in assembly, label blocks with the letter in ( ) as you make them.
Hexie Blocks: Stitch the template A and B pieces to template C.
Trim to 3 1/2” square if necessary.

Arrange and stitch together nine 2 1/4” x 3 1/2”


rectangles into columns as shown. Add to the long
sides of the quilt. The side strips have nine
rectangles each and the top and bottom have seven
rectangles each.
Make one:

Stitch two template E pieces to each template D


piece. Add the template F pieces. Trim to 6 1/2”
square if necessary.

Stitch the (1896-01) 1 1/4” x 31” strips to the sides


of the quilt. Add the (1896-01) 1 1/4” X 26 1/2”
strips to the top and bottom of the quilt.
Stitch the (1850-01) 1” X 32 1/2” strips to the sides
of the quilt. Add the (1850-01) 1” x 27 1/2” strips to
the top and bottom of the quilt.
Assembly:

Cut one 18 1/2” x 24 1/2” from 1848-03 for the


center of the quilt.
Stitch the (1850-04) 1 1/4” x 20 4 1/2” strips to the
sides of the center block. Add the (1850-04)
1 1/4” x 20 1/2” strips to the top and bottom.

Stitch one of each (1850-03 and 1850-02) 1 1/4” x


26” strips to the sides of the quilt. Add one of each
(1850-03 and 1850-02) 1 1/4” x 21 1/2” strips to the
top and bottom of the quilt.
Add the hexie blocks and (1850-04) 3 1/2” squares as Stitch the (1849-01 and 1849-02) 2 1/2” x 19 1/2”
shown. strips together in pairs. Add to the top and bottom
of the quilt.
Block order:

Top: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I

Stitch the (1897-01) 2” x 44 1/2” strips to the sides


of the quilt. Add the (1854-05) 2” x 41 1/2” to the
top and the (1898-01) 2” x 41 1/2” to the bottom of
the quilt.

From the 1852-31 yardage, cut five 1” x 44” strips.

From the 1851-01 yardage, cut six 2 1/2” x 44” strips. Bind with the 1852-01 fabric. Note: binding on model
