1. Eligibility :
1.1 All confirmed employees, assigned to work stations having 42-48 hours work per
week (excluding lunch hours) in a 7 day week cycle, will be eligible for Special
Compensatory Day Offs ( SCDO )
1.2 Employees posted at less than 42 hours/week work locations will not be eligible
for SCDO.
2. Modality of Accrual :
2.1 Accruals will be on quarterly basis on completion of the quarter effective January
1, 2007. For this purpose the quarters would be April - June, July - September,
October - December and January - March, on financial year basis.
2.2 Doubling in shifts on normal working days will be counted as one work day only.
2.3 Officers would be eligible for SCDO entitlement as per table below, provided
they have actually worked at 42-48 hour week locations (excluding lunch hours)
for atleast 45 days in the quarter
2.4 The period when an officer is on official tour away from his work location, will
be considered as 'On duty' and as such this period will be taken into account as
number actual days worked for the purpose of accrual of SCDOs
2.6 All accrued SCDOs as at end of the quarters will be automatically encashed
through salary in the first month of the succeeding quarter. Salary components for
encashment of SCDOs will be the same as applicable for encashment of Earned
Leave.
2.7 The financial implication of this proposal is Rs. 189.74 lakhs p.a.
