Makeup Color of
the Season

Just when it seems like matchy-matchy

makeup is officially gone and done, along
comes Rihanna to make everything old
seem new again. At the launch of her Fenty
Beauty line last night, the Caribbean-born
pop star sported a lemon-colored Oscar de
la Renta two piece with a dramatic floor-
sweeping skirt, complete with canary
diamond rings, gold-pavé hoops—and a set
of glimmering yellow lids.

While the singer has been known to wear

bright makeup with ease and is fearless in
the face of a red carpet risk, her new beauty
entrepreneur status seems to be upping the
ante on her honed, veteran eye shadow
skills. Paired with a slicked back
voluminous ponytail and a just-back-from-
Barbados glow, the fashion mogul applied
an iridescent yellow gold wash across her
lids and the high points of the face. Because
in the hands of a makeup maverick, even
the trickiest makeup shade can shine bright
like a diamond.
