Part Number 3060164-3, with Part Number 3060378-1, in Fan Stator Vane Assembly,
Part Number 3060163-3

CAUTION: WHEN REPLACING FAN STATOR VANE(S), TO MAINTAIN KEY

DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCES, NO MORE THAN 3 CONSECU-
TIVE (IN ONE GROUPED AREA) STATOR VANES ARE TO BE
REMOVED (REGARDLESS OF PART NUMBER) AT ONE TIME
TO PREVENT MISALIGNMENT (SHIFTING) OF THE STATOR
SHROUD AND THE STATOR HUB IN RELATION TO EACH
OTHER.

FAN STATOR VANE, PART NUMBER 3060164-3, MAY BE USED

WITH SHROUD GROMMET, PART NUMBER 3060167-2 OR
3060381-1.

FAN STATOR VANE, PART NUMBER 3060378-1, MAY BE USED

ONLY WITH SHROUD GROMMET, PART NUMBER 3060381-1.

CLOSE ATTENTION MUST BE PAID TO THE POSITIONING OF

THE SHROUD GROMMET BY PART NUMBER, AS FAN STATOR
VANE, PART NUMBER 3060378-1, MUST HAVE A SHROUD
GROMMET, PART NUMBER 3060381-1, UNDER IT AND UNDER
THE FAN STATOR VANE TO THE LEFT.

NOTE: Although this service bulletin is introducing new part numbers, the
following instructions are written as if either part number (mixed) fan
stator vanes are installed in Fan Stator Vane Assembly, Part Number
3060163-3. This will assist in future maintenance requirements until
the instructions can be incorporated into the Engine Light Maintenance
Manual.

The fan stator vane replacement may be performed with the engine
removed or on the wing.

(1) Disassemble engine as required to gain access to the fan stator vane assembly in
accordance with the Engine Light Maintenance Manual.

(2) Remove the retaining band from the fan stator vane assembly in accordance with the
Engine Light Maintenance Manual.

(3) Remove the fan stator vane to be replaced from the fan stator vane assembly in accor-
dance with the Engine Light Maintenance Manual.

(4) Determine the part number of the fan stator vane to the right of the (removed) fan stator
vane to be replaced. (See Figure 1.)
