Entrepreneurship in Life Science Assignment 1

1. Entrepreneurs are different from inventors because they are a person who
manages the business possibilities of a product, while on the other hand,
inventors are a person who has an idea and realizes the invention of a new
product. However, in my opinion, mostly inventors and entrepreneurs frequently
work together as inventors are the one that invent a product or innovation, while
entrepreneur is the one that will promote, sell, and produce the product in
masses for the society.
2. Being an entrepreneur was my childhood dream since by being an entrepreneur,
I would have a passive income with a small effort needed if my business has
gone successful. However, as time goes on, I do realize that being an
entrepreneur is not my passion as I don’t really like to sell things to the society.
Therefore, it is not my dream anymore.

b. True, because even though entrepreneurs are calculating every possible risk,
they are still considered as gamblers in my opinion as they need to take a risk in
order to obtain a reward.

4. All of these characteristics are important to be had by an entrepreneur. Among
those characteristics, I think I do have a networking characteristic as I am an
outgoing person who easily makes relationships with other people. One
character that also has to be had by an entrepreneur is observative, as they have
to calculate every possibility that could happen when they are making a decision.
