PORTFOLIO 15: REFLECTION ON “EXPLORING EMOTIONS” AND “I AM”

1. The emotions that I have felt recently is actually sadness. I felt really sad until I
cried when my partner gets mad at me for something that I don’t know. It’s just
hard for me to know that I’ve been doing things that makes her sad, but it’s harder
since even myself can’t figure out the thing that’s bothering her. She also doesn’t
want to tell me about it even I already begged her multiple times so that I could
change that doing of mine and be a better man for her. It’s just so sad that I’m
making her cry and it’s even sadder since I don’t know the reason of her tears.

2. My emotional self-awareness is actually high since I can easily notice or

recognize and understand my emotions and how they impact my behavior. I know
how I feel and why I feel that way. And, I can see how my feelings help or hurt
what I do. I also have an accurate sense of how other people see me depending on
my emotions.

3. I have learned through these exercises that being able to notice and accurately
label everyday feelings is the most basic of all the EQ skills. I learned that being
aware of our emotions like simply noticing them helps us manage our own
emotions. It also helps us understand how other people feel when they also
experienced your situation. I can use these learnings to improve my emotional
development since I already know how to manage my reactions, how can I choose
my mood, and how can I understand others.
