Instructions: This exercise is designed to help you become aware of how emotions are dealt with, on a
personal level. For each emotion, write what you do when you experience the emotion listed. Include
both productive and destructive behavior. Write as many as you can. You may use a separate sheet.

Instruction: After writing down your answers for Exercises 5.1.1A, answer the following questions:

1. Among the behaviors you listed, did you write down more productive behaviors or destructive
behaviors?
My optimism toward anything is through the roof. Considering that not all people are good, I
will still find goodness within them. I have listed more productive behavior because I will find
good things in any kind of emotion, whether happy or angry, sad or inspired, I will find
productive things that can help push through because at the of the day all you really need is you
pushing yourself towards life.

2. Identify the emotion where you had more productive behaviors? Which emotion did you have
more destructive behaviors?
The emotion that has a lot of productive behavior is inspired. There are a lot of good things that
can happen while being inspired. I can do a lot of school seat work that can be finished in a
matter of minutes and almost everything can be done immediately while being inspired.
Inspiration is the best thing in doing productive while being sad is the worst thing in doing
something. Sadness permeates and affects everything which will make it a lesser productive
environment. It will affect how I partake in things, I will feel drowsiness, depression and etc. Not
only that. It will also affect any output I do, even in a simple task like cleaning, nothing will stop
on not doing it correctly unless I resolve it with myself.

3. Are you more likely to have positive emotions or negative emotions? Explain your answer.
They are both the same, one of the things that are a burden. Even though I can become more
productive than ever, its downside will always slip through which I will work more on. I cannot
say that one outnumbers the other emotion because every emotion helped me grow into
becoming like this, a well-mannered, civilized student that will take on life forward, but the kind
that I am still learning more about who I am.

4. How do your emotions influence your sense of self?


Because of these series of emotions that I go through a lot, I become more aware on I should
perceive more of my surroundings while I’m in the euphoria of emotions. That I should become
more understanding of others while having these emotions and becoming more mature while in
any kind emotion both good and bad.
