GENERAL MECHANICS:
The participant will have to create a poem containing 5 lines in one stanza.
First line: three words
Second line: one word
Third line: four words
Fourth line: one word
Fifth line: five words
The judges will choose the top three best poems. The winners will receive a P100.00 worth of gift
check.
GENERAL MECHANICS
The quiz bee consists of three rounds: EASY, AVERAGE and DIFFICULT.
Below are the corresponding number items, points, and time allotment for answering each
item:
EASY: 15 items, 1 point each, 30 seconds per number
AVERAGE: 10 items, 3 points each, 1 minute per number
DIFFICULT: 5 items, 5 points each, 1 minute per number
The team that has the highest points will be the winner.
The first place will receive P500.00 worth of gift check.

The Society for the Advancement of Mathematics Education held an event to commemorate the
Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan’ s founding anniversary. This activity aims to acknowledge
The S.A.M.E activity (Kahoot quiz S.A.M.E. game relay edition) was held on October 26, 2022. This game
relay edition includes enjoyable math puzzles as well as quizzes about our favorite school. The group
participants were separated into two groups. The first batch played in the morning (8 a.m.-12 p.m.). The
second batch played in the afternoon (1 p.m. - 4 p.m.). Each batch comprised of four (4) groups of five
people each (1 member from BSE Math, 1 member from the other subjects). There were five stations in the
relay race.
At the end of the game the winners of batch 1 were Julian Canonigo, Hana Dumoran, Carlos Amorin,
Jewell Benito, Rhia Joyce Rulloda and for the batch 2 were Ferlyn Zapa, Gemma Ramos, Camilla Soriano,
Jaquelyn Sapanta, Justin Mauie Mateo. It was a fun-filled day with a beautiful experience.

TEP WEEK
On November 25, 2022, the Society for the Advancement of Mathematics Education held a
MATHLikhain Contest in celebration of Teacher Education Program (TEP) Week, with the theme: Awit ng
Kabataan: Kaguruan sa Bagong Henerasyon. The purpose of the aforementioned activity is to motivate
students through the arts and mathematics, as well as to improve their skills and talents in the arts and
mathematics. MAthlikhain comprises two sub-contests: Forda Mathematician Ang Look Ng Ferson+DYK
Short Video and 1,2,3 Pinta. Erica mae Baw and Kenneth P. Jemina were the winners of Forda
Mathematician Ang Look Ng Ferson+DYK Short Video. On the other side, the winners of the 1,2,3, Pinta
were James Warren Ramos in first place, Jericho Dela Rosa in second place, and Jak Cabais and Justine
Edisan Reynoso in third place. Thanks to the officers, heads, faculty, participants, and everyone else who

MATHEMATICS MONTH
A seminar and activity with the topic "Mathematics for Everyone: Adapting, Connecting, and Enjoying"
was held by the Society for the Advancement of Mathematics Education on May 5, 2023, in celebration of
National Mathematics Month. The activity strives to foster and acknowledge kids' extraordinary abilities to
Students from the BSE Mathematics Major attended the seminar. It began at 10:00 a.m. and ended at
12:00 p.m. It was a fun and informative seminar with Mr. Jobert Suarez. Students were able to grasp and
enjoy mathematics even better thanks to his expertise and engaging lecture. On the other side, the
following activity—the Jeopardy Quiz Bee: Battle of the Wits—was conducted at about 1 p.m. The game's
victors were Mark Vien Mallari and Jayson Marquez for first place, Kyle Ivan Aliangan and Nidja Batin for
second place, and Erica Mae Baw and Jean Pida for third place.
Additionally, the winners of the songwriting competition for Matematika Y Musica and the poemwriting
competition for PI-Ku will also be announced on May 5th, 2023. Erica Mae Baw and Jean Pida won first
place in the songwriting competition, and Kenneth Jemina, Maria Daniela Delacruz, and James Warren
Ramos placed second. Julie Anne F. Ampoon took first place in the Pi-Ku Contest, Jolan Mae C. Apalla
It is a successful event that aims to bring everyone together through Mathematics. Despite our
differences, math may bring us together. Understanding and appreciating mathematics is what the
organization seeks to promote, and we encourage learners to have a good attitude toward mathematics.
