[Exercise 3]
Engineering stress-strain curves obtained from tensile tests at room temperature of
low-carbon steel (Fe-0.10mass%C) and high purity aluminum (purity of 99.99mass%).
From the graphs, read and show the yield strength (upper- and lower-yield stresses for the
low-C steel, and 0.2% proof stress for pure Al), tensile strength, uniform elongation,
post-uniform elongation, and total elongation of the low-C steel and pure Al. The strength
and elongation should be expressed in engineering stress and strain, respectively.
