ABSTRACT
Using the Theory of Planned Behavior and Rogers’s Innovation Diffusion Theory a systematic model is
developed to predict consumer intention to pay for online content. Results of data analyzed through
structural equation modeling suggest that consumer attitude and subjective norms are significant predictors
of such intention whereas perceived behavioral control is not. Implications of the results are discussed.
