Topic: Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout

General Instruction:
Create a logo in canva with the theme “Academic Growth.” Then
download your logo in .png format and make a report in Microsoft Word
explaining the concept of your logo.
Below are set of specific instructions, kindly read and refer to it for your
Performance Task.
Creating a Logo in Canva:
1. Sign in to Canva:
Visit Canva's website (https://www.canva.com/) and sign in or create a new account.

2. Create a New Design:

Click on "Create a design" on the top right.
Choose "Custom dimensions" and set your preferred size for the logo (e.g., 800x800
pixels).

3. Choose a Template or Start from Scratch:

You can select a template from Canva's template library or start with a blank canvas.

4. Add Elements:
Click on the "Elements" tab on the left sidebar.
Add shapes, icons, or text to design your logo. Customize colors and sizes as needed.

5. Edit Text:
If using text, click on the text box to edit. You can change the font, size, color, and
alignment.

6. Adjust Elements:
Click on any element to resize, rotate, or move it. Utilize the alignment and
arrangement tools for precision.

7. Add Effects (Optional):

Apply effects such as shadows, glows, or filters to enhance your logo. Use the
"Effects" tab on the left sidebar.

8. Save Your Design:

Click the "Download" button at the top right.
Choose the file type as "PNG" and click "Download."

Font Size: 14
Spacing: Double Spacing, Justify
Margin: 1 inch, all sides
