Introduction
There has been substantial research in the field of teaching and learning. We have
moved from intuition based to evidence based practices. It is also learned that the
skill of teaching can be acquired through proper training. Unfortunately, the
avenues for training have not been created on adequate basis for the health
professionals as was made mandatory in general education in Pakistan.
Pakistan Medical & Dental Council had already included in regulation making
six months medical education course mandatory for appointment and promotion
of every teaching post. This certificate course is designed for faculty of all health
professions i.e. Medical Dental, Nursing, Physio-therapy, Pharmacy and other
relevant fields to cater the need in our area. We hope and expect that this will help
the faculty to groom themselves and contribute in ultimately grooming their
students.
