Survey Findings

The Filipino Morals and Values have a significant part and role in our lives as
a citizen of the Philippines that defines our characteristics and behaviors towards our
very existence. But along these positive traits, we can generally say that not all
Filipinos possess this kind of characteristics and behaviors. Our norms, culture and
even reputations are being damaged. But for every negativity, there will always be an
answer that will purge the negativity. These practices best define of who we are, are
reputations will be in a positive status. These practices should never be ignored but
instead, embraced and be proud of.

We gathered a total of 10 participants or volunteers and we asked if they were


willing to take our simple survey that focuses on the practices of Filipino social
values. Under the content of this survey, values such as Generosity, Respect for
Elderly, Industrious Attitude, Courtesy, Helpfulness, Hospitality, Family Oriented,
Unity, Faithfulness and Religiousness, Humor and Positivity were generally asked.
The participants were asked to put a check mark on the designated box the situations
they generally do. With situations being “Always” (4), “Often” (3), Sometimes (2)
and “Never” (1). Under Generosity, four participants answered “Always”, while five
participants answered “Often”, and one participant answered “Never”. Under Respect
to Elderly, five participants answered “Always” and five participants answered
“Often”. In Industrious Attitude, four participants answered “Always”, while five
participants answered “Often”, and one participant answered “Never”. In Courtesy,
four participants answered “Always”, whiles six participants answered “Often”. In
Helpfulness, six participants answered “Always”, three participants answered “Often”
and one participant answered “Sometimes’. In Filipino Hospitality, six participants
answered “Always” while four participants answered “Often”. Under Family
Oriented, six participants answered “Always”, one participant answered “Often”, two
participants answered “Sometimes” and one participant answered “Never”. In Unity,
five participants answered “Always” while five participants answered “Often”. Under
Faithfulness and Religiousness, seven participants answered “Always”, one
participant answered “Often”, one participant answered “Sometimes” and one
participant answered “Never”.
