ABSTRACT

This study tries to find out the feasibility of the used cooking oil as anadditive component of

candle. This study aims to produce a low-priced but high-quality candle by using used cooking

oil as a major component.The researcher would like to test the feasibility of cooking oil.The

following materials: 1/3 cup cooking oil/used oil, 3 Tbsp. Salt, 1 cotton ball, 2inch. Match,

lighter, and 1 glass jar, the researcher conducted the experiment. Put3 tablespoons of salt inside

the glass. Press it to level the salt into place. ThenPour the cooking oil into the glass of salt. After

that Insert the match in themiddle of the glass, this will serve as the candle wick. The salt will

stabilize thematch into position. Then Loop the cotton around a piece of stick. And FinallyLight

up the match with a lighter. You could also use another match to light upthe other. Now you have

a candle made from items found in the kitchen. It willlast longer than a candle and is much safer

to use.
