Tittle: Getting Acquainted with the tools for Critical Analysis and Solution Generation Objective:
This activity aims to familiarize you with creative thinking tools, trends, and techniques for
critically analyzing various tools before the formal introduction to the course.

Instructions:

1. Familiarity with Creative Thinking Tools:

Question: Are you already familiar with any tools, trends, or techniques related to creative
thinking?

- Yes, I'm familiar with several creative thinking tools and techniques such as Brainstorming,
SWOT Analysis and Mind Mapping. Brainstorming: A group or individual technique for generating ideas
and solutions through free-flowing, non-judgmental thinking. Mind Mapping: A visual technique for
organizing thoughts and ideas hierarchically, often used to brainstorm, plan, or analyze complex topics.
SWOT analysis: provides a snapshot of the startup's internal strengths and weaknesses, along with
external opportunities and threats. It serves as a strategic tool for decision-making, helping the company
leverage its strengths, address weaknesses, capitalize on opportunities, and mitigate potential threats.

2. Application to Complex Information:

Question: Can you recall a situation where you used a creative thinking tool to critically analyze
independently sourced complex information?

- In a recent event, I used the SWOT Analysis. It was in our church, the Youth officers including
myself are creating and planning for a one fiscal year of events to reconnect and keep the presence of
our Young People. While planning we always used the SWOT analysis together with SMART for us to
know the effectiveness of this specific event on a specific month. Without further delay we always come
up with a better idea and a beautiful situation and a positive progress.

3. Interest in Exploring New Tools:

Question: Are there specific creative thinking tools or techniques you are interested in exploring
further during this course?

- I am particularly interested in exploring Design Thinking during this course. The user-centric
approach and emphasis on empathy in problem-solving appeal to me. I believe incorporating Design
Thinking into creative processes will enhance my ability to develop innovative solutions by
understanding and addressing user needs effectively.
