CASE ANALYSIS IN PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS OF AN EMPLOYEE

1. Ms. Lopez is a fresh graduate of PSU San Carlos. After her graduation, she
immediately applied to a private institution and fortunately got hired. She earned a
basic salary that could sustain her and her family’s needs. However, she has been
feeling like opportunities for growth are limited and has been experiencing extreme
competition with her colleagues.

2. Mr. Sanchez was born into a family of politicians from which he inherited leadership
skills. Back then, he loved to participate in various organizations in school that would
enable him to influence others. He always demonstrates a competitive attitude and his
way of achieving any aspiration. In his workplace, attaining another higher position is
a way to prove his capabilities.

3. Professor Solar and Commission Cera are successful in their chosen careers. They
can both meet their basic needs. Having been in their position and job for a long time,
Professor Solar is already prepared for having a family, yet her long-time partner is not
yet fully ready for lifetime commitment. On the other hand, Commissioner Cera
postponed his wedding engagement because his twin siblings will have their on-the-
job training in Massachusetts. He is still supporting his siblings financially until they
land a decent job.

4. Soriano and Ms. Mislang are performing secondary school teachers in the District of
Mapolopolo. They were also awarded as Natatangi at Ulirang Guro in 1980. However,
as time passed, they felt like they were bombarded with heavy responsibilities and
tasks that were beyond their job description, which sometimes made them inefficient.
One day, they both decided to quit their jobs, leading them to have an early retirement.
