Sequence of Work
Before any site work commences, all Manzo Engineering crew personnel will have a
site induction including but not limited to:
Environmental considerations
Method Statement
Fire Procedures
415v Operated lifting equipment 220v Power tools Light hand tools
Safety Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment, to include but not be restricted to: - Hard hats Safety boots
Gloves High visibility jackets / waistcoats Eye protection Gas monitor equipment
It should be noted that Manzo Engineering reserve the right to modify the operations
and/or sequence of operations described below, as may be dictated by site situations or
may prove to be beneficial to construction. All such modifications would remain within
safe working practices and will be agreed with the customer prior to action.
1.0 OBJECTIVE
2.1 The general methods used in the installation of pipe supports are well established
And proven, having been used for many years. Safe methods of working have been
Incorporated into the standard building methods. The main areas of risk are those

3.1 Off loading will be by self contained truck mounted crane. Maximum single lift

5.1 Check complete pipe support installation to see that all comply to drawings.
5.2 Carry out inspection with Customers Site Manager, who will sign off the structures
if satisfactory. Any minor problems can be resolved with Manzo Engineering
supervisor prior to leaving site.
Please note that the above is one of a number of Manzo Engineering approved
construction methods.
6.0 SAFETY
6.1 Prior to commencing the works on site, all personnel involved are to be briefed on
the content of the Method statement and Risk assessment in a „toolbox box talk‟ .
Attendees are to record onto a sign-on sheet that they have understood the work to
be carried out and the sequence as defined and will comply with the health and
safety requirements as set out. Attend the site safety induction course .Any
personnel arriving late during the works must be similarly briefed and added to the
sign-on sheet.
6.2 Hard-hats, high visibility vests, gloves and protective boots must be worn at all
times. Safety glasses and safety harnesses must be used as required by regulations.
Alcohol will not be allowed on site.
6.3 At the end of each working day the structure must be left in a safe and stable
condition. Temporary supporting used, if required.
6.5 Any cranes used will be sub-contract hire or will belong to Aqua Engineering, the
lifting plant must be certificated and operators will be competent and appointed. A
copy of this license must be submitted to Manzo Engineering for approval prior to
operating.
6.6 All construction personnel will be trained and experienced in the work to be
undertaken.
6.7 First Aid. A first aid kit is to be kept on site at all times.
8.0 LABOUR
8.1 All personnel will all be trained in pipe support installation methods.
9.0 CONTINGENCIES
9.1 The only finishes used, in the inside and outside of the pipe will be according to
the
Manzo Engineering pipe specification sheet, damages will be assessed and the
appropriate repair procedure will be adopted.
9.2 In the event of a leak, during testing, Manzo Engineering will arrange for a prompt
action to rectify, depending on the nature and position of the leak the appropriate
repair procedure will be adopted.
10.1 Painted and Hot Dip Galvanized surfaces are vulnerable to the following:
