BIODIVERSITY VS ECOSYSTEM

BIODIVERSITY
is the diversity of all organisms and the ways in
which they interact. As new species emerge and
old ones become extinct, biodiversity shifts over
time. Three degrees of diversity are frequently
discussed by scientists: species, genetic, and
ecosystem diversity.
ECOSYSTEM
is a group of living things that inhabit a certain
area. A region of the planet is referred to as a
"eco," and the units of coordination are referred
to as "systems." An ecosystem is a group of living
things interacting with their natural surroundings.
So what is the difference between them? The
variety of species or the quantity of distinct biotic
components in an ecosystem is known as
biodiversity. The whole set of biotic and abiotic
elements present in an area is called an
ecosystem. The focus of biodiversity is on the
local species. Abiotic elements like soil and
water are not considered. Still, these elements
do, in addition to biotic elements, constitute an
ecosystem. Every ecosystem needs biodiversity
to function. It contributes to biological
productivity, food webs, trophic dynamics,
ecosystem diversity, and ultimately the
economic value of ecosystems. It keeps an
ecosystem healthy and functional. Ecosystem
stability is provided by biological variety. How
about similarities of them? The terms
"ecosystem" and "biodiversity" refer to the
various types of life on Earth. Living and nonliving
creatures interact in both the ecology and
biodiversity. They are both evolving. Ecosystems
and biodiversity are interdependent. Ecosystems
include the interactions between living things and
their physical surroundings, and biodiversity is
the range of living things found within them.
