NAVIGATING THE WEB

INTRO:

- Wonderful afternoon to each and everyone . Today I will be discussing about

navigating the web. So before we proceed I would like to ask you a question....
- My question is; What do you prefer using when surfing the web, is it through
smartphone, laptop or computer..

▪ 1. I Prefer using laptop. I can have multiple tabs open and switch between them
while doing research. Easily save links, take screenshots, do side by side
comparison and many other things.
▪ 2.I prefer using phone. If I’m away from home, the phone is convenient. You can
bring it anywhere and have access of internet too.

• A website is a set of data and information about a particular subject which is
available on the internet.

browser. We all know that google chrome is the most common browser for
androids. We alrready now have a web browser to navigate the web and now we can
have access visiting a website or webpage.

• In the address bar there the user type the url
• Urls tells a web browser how and where to receive the internet.
• But you akso use them on clicking links on a web page, a bookmark or an email

• Https stands for – HYPERTEXT TRANSFER PROTOCOL SECURE
• SO WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HTTPS?
• You can see it right here in my browsers address bar
• This one has https and switching to the other tabs its only htttp
• And if you click this little icon here it says your’e connection
to this site is not secure /private
• What https really means is that all the communication
between you and that website is encrypted.
• So if your’e at open wifi at a coffee shop or something, nobody
can snoop and see what your’e doing. WHEREAS IF YOUR’E
ON A DOMAIN THAT IS NOT SECURE THEY CAN SEE WHAT
YOURE DOING. BUT THE THING THAT ONLY MATTERS IS WE
SHOUD REALLY CARE ABOUT SECURITY ON SHOPPING SITES
OR BANK. SO ANYTIME WHAT YOUR’E DOING ON THE WEB
