every day of the year through its service groups – UnitingCare Community, UnitingCare Health, Blue
Care and ARRCS (Australian Regional and Remote Community Services) in the Northern Territory.
As a health and community services provider of the Uniting Church we have supported Queensland
communities for over 100 years. Our 17, 400 employees and 9, 200 volunteers care for and support
people from all walks of life, including older people, people with a disability, children, families and
Indigenous people.
Digital and Technology (D&T) delivers core and enabling information and communications
technology services, works with the business to implement new and better ICT solutions, and
supports people across all areas of UnitingCare Queensland to acquire and use ICT products and
services.
UnitingCare Health- is one of the largest Non-profit, private hospital groups in Queensland and
provides professional and compassionate care to more than 109,000 patients each year through its
private hospitals - The Wesley and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospitals in Brisbane, Buderim Private
Hospital on the Sunshine Coast and St Stephen’s Hospital in Mary borough and Hervey Bay.
The hospital group is a major provider of health care services in Queensland and operates almost
1000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4300 people.
UnitingCare Health provides values based holistic care to patients and their families, and invests
significantly in facilities, technology, research, education and community engagement to ensure it
stays relevant to the needs of the community.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Digital and Technology (D&T) delivers core and enabling information and communications
technology services, works with the business to implement new and better ICT solutions and
supports people across all areas of UnitingCare Queensland to acquire and use ICT products and
services. Digital and Technology is the backbone of UCQ to modernize the applications, enhance
Support and services capabilities to all business units and functions.

The current D & T operating model is a blend of in-house and outsourced resources, with more than
70 ICT service providers. This geographically dispersed, complex and fragmented model is costly,
increases our operational risks and is inflexible considering UCQ’s rapidly evolving ICT needs. D& T
also help to bridge any knowledge gap (business and technical) that have emerged during recent
organisational changes and provide input and insight into future activities proposed under the
strategic transformation program.

EMPLOYEE’S RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Administrator, Chandrakumar Kannan will be performing the below mentioned duties,
which are not limited to:

 Creating and reviewing technical documentation such as procedural, instructional and

operational guides and manuals, technical reports and specifications and maintenance
inventory system
 Responsible for Virtualization and strong knowledge in troubleshooting of XenApp and Xen-
desktop.
 Provide End User Computing system roadmaps, service update schedules, improvement
recommendations and implementation plan on all End User Computing Services including
Patch management, Image management, and Application Management and Vulnerability
management systems.
 Troubleshoot and Support Bio-Medical devices in the Health care environment
 Manage the virtualised environment for customer End User Computing devices (e.g. Citrix) in
accordance with agreed policies and processes.
 Implement End User Computing Device Security configuration in line with customer Security
policies and standards.
 Responsible for defining the Standard Operating Environment to be installed on all End User
Computing Devices.
 Perform environmental monitoring of Centralised Compute infrastructure within Data
Rooms
 Respond to and manage events raised by Centralised Computing infrastructure monitoring
tools to detect abnormal conditions or alarms, log abnormal conditions, analyse the
condition and take corrective action.
  Monitor, operate and maintain infrastructure for applications running on servers. This
includes the installation of such applications on new infrastructure, the upgrade of existing
infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
 Update and maintain all Configuration Items associated with the Services within the CMDB.
 Monitoring network activity to identify issues early and communicating them to IT teams
 Directly manage all Network components as specified including, but not limited to, VPN,
LAN, DHCP, DNS, wireless, cable patching, Routers, load balancers and other Network
components.
 Analyzing, evaluating and diagnosing technical problems and issues such as installation,
maintenance, repair, upgrade and configuration and troubleshooting of desktops, software,
hardware, printers, Internet, email, databases, operating systems and security systems
 Secure and maintain the system by defining access privileges, control structures, and
resources.
 Identify and resolve all problems and provide efficient training to new employees to
understand all security procedures and maintain protection for all information systems.
 Finding out the vulnerabilities in hardware as well as software for maintaining internal and
external security
 Assisting in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing and resolving system issues with firewall
and network.
 Troubleshooting and providing service support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-
related hardware and software malfunctions, encompassing workstations and
communication infrastructure

Work experience:

Chandrakumar Kannan, has 13 years of experience in IT Managed Services. He has large and
diversified experience in End User Computing, Virtualization, Network and Server Management. He
has commendable knowledge of Desktop and server operating systems, hardware components and
IT network peripherals. He is an expert in installing, upgrading, and configuring innovative
applications on Windows operating systems and providing technical support to optimize workflows
and minimize business interruptions.

He has a great understanding of the healthcare environment and is well-versed in managing the Bio-
Medical devices.

He has worked in various domains throughout his experience. He is one of the key resources for the
ICT support team. He is professional, and recognized for top technical support performance.

Localization resource:-

We have 21 resources hired locally who are Australian Citizen or Permanent Residence in our
project. However, we are keeping the job requirements open in the job portals and seeking valid job
petitions for future requirements and planning to recruit either PR holders or citizens of Australia.

CONCLUDING REMARKS
Based upon his education background, comprehensive training for such assignments, and experience
in the usage of a combination of Wipro's proprietary systems, processes, frameworks, procedures,
tools, quality standards and vast work experience of over 5 Years and months at Wipro, We presume
that Chandrakumar Kannan is the ideal candidate for this position in Australia. These cross-skills are
very much required in the current project and his familiarity of the Client’s business is an added
advantage for him. The usage of these Wipro’s Proprietary methodologies ensures seamless and
efficient execution of projects. This specialized knowledge is now required onsite for the successful
completion of the assignment.
