STRENGTH TRAINING EXERCISE (CORE EXERCISE)

What is a Strength Training Exercise?

🍂 Strength training exercises work your muscles by applying resistance, such as weights, resistance
bands, or body weight against which the muscles need to exert a force and to build and tone muscles.
The aim is to use an appropriate weight or resistant force that will work the target muscles to fatigue,
over 8 to 12 repetitions of an exercise.

🍂When you perform strength training exercises, you create microscopic tears in your muscle fibers. As
your body repairs these tears, your muscles grow stronger and more resilient to future workouts. This
process is called muscle hypertrophy. Strength training also increases muscle mass and improves muscle
endurance, allowing you to perform daily activities more efficiently and with less fatigue.

🍂It helps our muscles by making them stronger, increasing their size, and improving their ability to
perform tasks like lifting, pushing, and pulling. Additionally, strength training can also enhance bone
density, improve joint health, and boost metabolism, leading to overall better physical health and
functionality.
What are core exercises?

🍂 Any exercise that involves the use of your STOMACH MUSCLES and BACK MUSCLES in a coordinated
way. It’s essential for building strength and stability in the muscles of your abdomen, lower back, hips,
and pelvis. For example:

1. Squat - As you lower into the squat and push back up, your core muscles engage to maintain proper
posture and alignment.
