EBC1 Language Quizzes

Here is what you need to know about the EBC1 Language Quizzes (LQs):
• Every week, your EBC1 teacher will activate a Language Quiz (LQ) on LEARN at some
point during your scheduled class time.
• Please note that it is completely up to your EBC1 teacher when an LQ is opened. This
could be different every week and your teacher will often decide on that
spontaneously, so don’t plan on attending a session just for the quiz! It is your
responsibility to attend the full session of your EBC1 course.
• If your EBC 1 class is cancelled or postponed, you will receive all the necessary
information via email. Therefore, we recommend checking your WU email account on
a daily basis.
• Once you open the LQ on LEARN, you have 3 minutes to answer the 2 questions! In
total, your EBC1 teacher will schedule no more than 5 minutes for the quiz. Be
prepared and make sure you have a functioning WIFI connection and access to LEARN.
• You can earn up to 2 points for answering the two questions correctly in each weekly
LQ. For detailed information on how your final grade is calculated, please see the
syllabus on LEARN!
• With the exception of Unit 1, the LQs cover the previous units’ language and grammar
topics. The LQ in Unit 1 will be held at the end of the session and it covers study skills
discussed in this first session. The table below gives you an overview of which language
and grammar topics are covered in each LQ.
