These obstacles have their roots in the policies and s
beliefs surrounding addiction. I have talked to counse
who work with these individuals and experience the e
of these challenges on a daily basis. Through their
experiences it becomes clear that our healthcare sys
requires reform to address the needs of those in our
communities struggling with the overwhelming pains
associated with substance abuse.
There are changes that can be made to lessen the re
