Energy and Efficient Communication System Using Adaptive Power

Splitting Protocol
Manisha Bharathi., M.E (CSE)

Abstract
In our proposed system, the relay harvests energy from the source transmissions,
by employing adaptive PS protocol, for powering the retransmissions to the destination.
In existing system is a novel power splitting (PS) protocol for energy harvesting
cooperative communication systems. Unlike existing PS protocols, which are not
optimal in terms of capacity maximization, our proposed adaptive PS protocol
maximizes the achievable capacity between the source and destination. Furthermore, we
present analytical expressions for the outage probability and average achievable capacity.
Simulation results validate the analytical expressions and show that the achievable
capacity for the proposed PS protocol is better than the existing PS protocol.

An Algorithm for Finding Minimum Cost Of Storing and Regenerating Data Sets In
Multiple Clouds

P.S.V College of Engineering and Technology
Abstract
The proliferation of cloud computing allows users to flexibly store, re-compute or
transfer large generated datasets with multiple cloud service providers. However, due to
the pay-as-you-go model, the total cost of using cloud services depends on the
consumption of storage, computation and bandwidth resources which are three key
factors for the cost of IaaS-based cloud resources. In order to reduce the total cost for
data, given cloud service providers with different pricing models on their resources,
users can flexibly choose a cloud service to store a generated dataset, or delete it and
choose a cloud service to regenerate it whenever reused. However, finding the
minimum cost is a complicated yet unsolved problem. In this paper, we propose a novel
algorithm that can calculate the minimum cost for storing and regenerating datasets in
clouds, i.e., whether datasets should be stored or deleted, and furthermore where to
store or to regenerate whenever they are reused. This minimum cost also achieves the
best trade-off among computation, storage and bandwidth costs in multiple clouds.
Comprehensive analysis and rigid theorems guarantee the theoretical soundness of the
paper, and general (random) simulations conducted with popular cloud service
providers' pricing models demonstrate the excellent performance of our approach.

A Secure Erasure Code -Based Cloud Storage System With Secure Data
Forwarding
PAVITHRA K., M.E (CSE)

P.S.V College of Engineering and Technology
Abstract
A cloud storage system, consisting of a collection of storage servers,
provides long-term storage services over the Internet. Storing data in a third
party’s cloud system causes serious concern over data confidentiality. General
encryption schemes pro tectdata confidentiality, but also limit the functionality of
the storage system because a few operations are supported over encrypted data.
Constructing a secure storage system that supports multiple functions is
challenging when the storage system is distributed and has no central authority.
We propose a threshold proxy re-encryption scheme and integrate it with a
decentralized erasure code such that a secure distributed storage system is
formulated. The distributed storage system not only supports secure and robust
data s torage and retrieval, but also lets a user forward his data in the storage
servers to another user without retrieving the data back. The main technical
contribution is that the proxy re-encryption scheme supports encoding operations
over encrypted messages as well as forwarding operations over encoded and
encrypted messages. Our method fully integrates encrypting, encoding, and
forwarding. We analyze and suggest suitable parameters for the number of copies
of a message dispatched to storage servers and the number of storage servers
queried by a key server. These parameters allow more flexible adjustment
between the number of storage servers androbustness.

An Energy Efficient Cross-Layer Network Operation Model For IEEE 802.15.4-

Based Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks
Nithya
Abstract
IEEE 802.15.4 mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSNs) have been
investigated in literature. One major finding is that these networks suffer from control
packet overhead and delivery ratio degradation. This increases the network’s energy
consumption. This paper introduces a cross-layer operation model that can improve the
energy consumption and system throughput of IEEE 802.15.4 MWSNs. The proposed
model integrates four layers in the network operation: application (node location),
network (routing), medium access control (MAC) and physical layers. The location of
the mobile nodes is embedded in the routing operation after the route discovery
process. The location information is then utilized by the MAC layer transmission
power control to adjust the transmission range of the node. This is used to minimize
the power utilized by the network interface to reduce the energy consumption of the

node(s). The model employs a mechanism to minimize the neighbor discovery

broadcasts to the active routes only. Reducing control packet broadcasts between the
nodes reduces the network’s consumed energy. It also decreases the occupation period
of the wireless channel. The model operation leads the network to consume less energy
while maintaining the network packet delivery ratio. To our knowledge, the presented
operational model with its simplicity has never been introduced. Through simulation-
based evaluations, the proposed model outperforms the conventional operation of
IEEE 802.15.4-based network and the Energy Efficient and QoS aware multipath
routing protocol (EQSR) in terms of energy consumption by roughly 10%, twice less
control packet overhead, on-par end-to- end delays and comparative packet delivery
ratios.

Computing System

Abstract

In a traditional big data network, data streams generated by User Equipments

(UEs) are uploaded to the remote cloud (for further processing) via the Internet.
However, moving a huge amount of data via the Internet may lead to a long End-to-End
(E2E)delay between a UE and its computing resources (in the remote cloud) as well as
severe traffic jams in the Internet. To overcome this drawback, we propose a cloudlet
network to bring the computing and storage resources from the cloud to the mobile edge.
Each base station is attached to one cloudlet and each UE is associated with its Avatar in
the cloudlet to process its data locally. Thus, the E2E delay between a UE and its
computing resources in its Avatars is reduced as compared to that in the traditional big
data network. However, in order to maintain the low E2E delay when UEs roam away,
it is necessary to hand off Avatars accordingly—it is not practical to hand off the
Avatars’ virtual disks during roaming as this will incur unbearable migration time and
network congestion. We propose the Latency Aware Replica placement (LEARN)
algorithm to place a number of replicas of each Avatar’s virtual disk into suitable
cloudlets. Thus, the Avatar can be handed off among its cloudlets (which contain one of
its replicas) without migrating its virtual disk. Simulations demonstrate that LEARN
reduces the average E2E delay. Meanwhile, by considering the capacity limitation of
each cloudlet, we propose the Latency aware Avatar handoff (LEAD) algorithm to
place. Es’ Avatars among the cloudlets such that the average E2E delay is minimized.
Simulations demonstrate that LEAD maintains the low average E2E delay.

Analysis and Specifying Text Categorization Using a Bayesian Classification

Approach

Abstract
Traditional cluster ensemble approaches have three limitations: (1) They do not
makem use of prior knowledge of the datasets given by experts. (2) Most of the
conventionalcluster ensemble methods cannot obtain satisfactory results when
handling high dimensional data. (3) All the ensemble members are considered, even
the ones without positive contributions. In order to address the limitations of
conventional cluster ens emble approaches, we first propose an incremental semi-
supervised clustering ensemble framework (ISSCE) which makes use of the advantage
of the random subspace technique, the constraint propagation the proposed
incremental ensemble member selection process, and the normalized cut algorithm to
perform high dimensional data clustering. The incremental ensemble member
selection process is newly designed to judiciously remove redundant ensemble
members based on a newly proposed local cost function and a global cost function, and
the normalized cut algorithm is adopted to serve as the consensus function for
providingmore stable, robust and accurate results. Then, a measure is proposed to
quantify the similarity between two sets of attributes, and is used for computing the
local cost function in ISSCE. Next, we analyze the time complexity of ISSCE
theoretically. Finally, a set of nonparametric tests are adopted to compare multiple
semi-supervised clustering ensemble approaches over different datasets.

A Secure Data Sharing Scheme Using Lazy Re-Encryption For Mobile Cloud

Abstract
With the popularity of cloud computing, mobile devices can store/retrieve
personal data from anywhere at any time. Consequently, the data security problem
in mobile cloud becomes more and more severe and prevents further development
of mobile cloud. There are substantial studies that have been conducted to improve
the cloud security. However, most of them are not applicable for mobile cloud
since mobile devices only have limited computing resources and power. Solutions
with low computational overhead are in great need for mobile cloud applications.
In this paper, we propose a lightweight data sharing scheme (LDSS) for mobile
cloud computing. It adopts CP-ABE, an access control echnology used in normal
cloud environment, but changes the structure of access control tree to make it
suitable for mobile cloud environments. LDSS moves a large portion of the
computational intensive access control tree transformation in CP-ABE from

mobile devices to external proxy servers. Furthermore, to reduce the user

revocation cost, it introduces attribute description fields to implement lazy-
revocation, which is a thorny issue in program based CP-ABE systems. The
experimental results show that LDSS can effectively reduce the overhead on the
mobile device side when users are sharing data in mobile cloud environments.

Abstract

The explosive growth in popularity of social networking leads to the problematic

usage. An increasing number of social network mental disorders (SNMDs), such as
Cyber-Relationship Addiction, Information Overload, and Net Compulsion, have been
recently noted. It is challenging to detect SNMDs because the mental status cannot be
directly observed from online social activity logs. Our approach, new and innovative to
the practice of SNMD detection, does not rely on self-revealing of those mental factors
via questionnaires in Psychology. Instead, we propose a machine learning framework,
namely, Social Network Mental Disorder Detection (SNMDD),that exploits features
extracted from social network data to accurately identify potential cases of SNMDs. We
also exploit multi-source learning in SNMDD and propose a new SNMD-based Tensor
Model (STM) to improve the accuracy. To increase the scalability of STM, we further
improve the efficiency with performance guarantee. Our framework is evaluated via a
user study with 3126 online social network users. We conduct a feature analysis, and
also apply SNMDD on large-scale datasets and analyze the characteristics of the three
SNMD types. The results manifest that SNMDD is promising for identifying online
social network users with potential SNMDs.

Efficient Wireless Multimedia Multicast In Multi-Rate Multi-Channel Mesh

Abstract
Devices in wireless mesh networks can operate on multiple channels and
automatically adjust their transmission rates for the occupied channels. This paper shows
how to improve performance-guaranteed multicasting transmission coverage for wireless
multi-h op mesh networks by exploring the transmission opportunity offered by multiple
rates (MR) and multiple channels (MC). Based on the characteristics of transmissions
with different rates, we propose and analyze parallel low-rate transmissions (PLT) and
alternative rate transmissions (ART) to explore the advantages of MRMC in improving
the performance and coverage tradeoff under the constraint of limited channel resources.
We then apply these new transmission schemes to improving the WMN multicast
experience. Combined with the strategy of reliable interference-controlled connections, a
novel MRMC multicast algorithm (LC-MRMC) is designed to make efficient use of
channel and rate resources to greatly extend wireless multicast coverage with high
throughput and short delay performance. Our NS2 simulation results prove that ART
and LC-MRMC achieve improved wireless transmission quality across much larger
areas as compared to other related studies.

Analysis of Data Analytics Using Big Data

R.MONISHA., M.E(CSE)
Abstract
Big data is a new driver of the world economic and societal changes. The world’s
data collection is reaching a tipping point for major technological changes that can bring
new ways in decision making, managing our health, cities, finance and education. While
the data complexities are increasing including data’s volume, variety, velocity and
veracity, the real impact hinges on our ability to uncover the `value’ in the data through
Big Data Analytics technologies. Big Data Analytics poses a grand challenge on the
design of highly scalable algorithms and systems to integrate the data and uncover large
hidden values from datasets that are diverse, complex, and of a massive scale. Potential
breakthroughs include new algorithms, methodologies, systems and applications in Big
Data Analytics that discover useful and hidden knowledge from the Big Data efficiently
and effectively.Big Data Analytics is relevant to Hong Kong as it moves towards a digital
economy and society. Hong Kong is already among the best in the world in Big Data
Analytics, taking up such leadership positions as chairs and editor in chiefs of important
conferences and journals in Big Data related areas. But to maintain such leadership
positions, Hong Kong universities, government and industry must act quickly in
addressing a number of major challenges. These challenges includes “foundations,”
which concerns new algorithms, theory and methodologies in knowledge discovery from
large amounts of data and “systems and applications,” which concerns innovative
applications and systems useful for supporting Big Data practices. Big data analytics
must also be team effort cutting across academic institutions, government and society
and industry, and by researchers from multiple disciplines including computer science
and engineering, health, data science and social and policy areas.

Analysis of Wimax Technology

Abstract
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a family
of wireless broadband communication standards based on the IEEE 802.16 set of
standards, which provide multiple physical layer (PHY) and Media Access Control
(MAC) options. The name "WiMAX" was created by the WiMAX Forum, which was
formed in June 2001 to promote conformity and interoperability of the standard,
including the definition of predefined system profiles for commercial vendors.[1] The
forum describes WiMAX as "a standards-based technology enabling the delivery of last
mile wireless broadband access as an alternative to cable and DSL" IEEE 802.16m or

Abstract
A device for the detection of polymers is under the development. The use of
ultrasonic waves for understanding the aquatic environment is undertaken in this work.
The material presented explains how the waves behave for different samples (size, shape,
composition) of polymers. Apart from these there are e-waste and industrial effluents.
Their bio-degradability and the confusion for food for marine life has created an entry
point to food cycle of mankind. Additionally, the wastes in their solid form also inhibit
easy movement of motors that are propelling ships, submarines or motor boats. Hence
this study was undertaken to determine the ultrasound for studying shape dependency of
polymers. Automatically enable electronic detection with artificial intelligent systems
and other future enhancements required to facilitate waves for multiple orientations.

Abstract
Swing-Pay, has been presented for point-to-point transactions to eliminate all the
constraints seen in state-of-the-art payment method. Some recently developed all-in-one
payment cards like Plastic. Emerging payment technologies create both opportunities
and challenges for the future. Being a quick and convenient process, contactless payment
gained momentum, especially with merchants, with throughput being the main
parameter. This approach eliminates the need for physical cash and also serves all types
of payment and identity needs. This approach furnish a medium for cashless card-to-card
transactions. A prototype of a digital card is also detailed. This card can also be used as a

Abstract
With the Linux machine, one cannot achieve line rate data processing. This is
because of the richness in Linux kernel and improper resource management with respect
to the data forwarding. Improper resource management includes interrupt-driven packet
processing, selection of data structures and memory management. With Intel DPDK

Abstract
In view of the mechanical locks used in the financial industry can no longer meet
the needs of security and reliability of banking now, this new type of ATM safe lock
system was composed of four parts which are respectively electronic combination lock
host, pin identification using one time password, finger print identification and host
computer (PC) management center. The lower computer is composed of Cortex-M3
series MB9AFB44L processor module, fingerprint identification module and 2.4G
wireless modem. Bank personnel who adds money is authorized operating authorization
by the integrated management system of upper machine, sending a signal to notify the
hand-held MCU to send packets in the authorized time after verification of hand-held
fingerprint identification module, and the packets are also passed into combination lock
host through 2.4G wireless module. When packets are received, combination lock host
will compare and extract in advance, and ID number of hand-held device will be verified
first. The contents of the packet will be extracted if the ID is meeting the permission
scope, and the unlock one time password in the package content and the authorization
record time are recorded at the moment, which is going to be matched with the password
generated by combination lock host. The host will directly drive electromagnetic
equipment to play the lock tongue if the password is correct. The whole process of
verifying the unlock password must be done within the scope of authorization time,
generally half a day or a day, which is determined by the bank unit. In addition with that
vibration control is added in advance to protect the system from theft activity .That is to
say, such a practice must be carried out within the control of management system. The
lock is verified by actual operation in the bank that it can effectively improve the security
of Bank ATM safe electronic password system, and it has a profound historical
significance to promote the development of bank ATM safe electronic combination lock
industry.

Abstract
Buildings are subjected to natural hazards, such as earthquakes and winds, and
man-made hazards, such as fires and crimes, during their long-term use. To mitigate
these hazards, monitoring these risks by sensing certain types of physical values is
necessary. The Mote has on-board microprocessor and ready-made wireless
communication capabilities. In this paper, the performance of the Mote is investigated
through shaking table tests employing a two-story steel structure. The acceleration sensor
is tested, and its performance for wireless measurement and specific risk monitoring
applications, such as damage detection in the structure, is presented. The feasibility of
risk monitoring for buildings is also discussed. The actual for “Ubiquitous
sensing/computing” is expected to be realized over the next ten years. The interest in
sensing technology for various uses has been growing, and new kinds of sensors have
been developed by micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) technology.
The entire Environmental information, such as brightness, temperature, sound,
vibration, and a picture of a certain place in a building, is evaluated by the network to
which a huge number of microcomputer chips with sensors were connected. A structural
health monitoring technology will play an important role in this stream. A number of
studies have been conducted on structural health monitoring for buildings and civil
engineering structures in recent years. Some of these studies have focused on wireless
sensing technology. Researchers at the Stanford University have developed a wireless

Abstract
A start-up scheme is proposed and investigated for a three-phase isolated full-
bridge boost power factor correction (PFC) converter with the passive fly back auxiliary
circuit. Configuration derivation in ac side of the PFC converter has been done, and the
three boost inductors are replaced by three coupled-inductors with fly back inductors. In
starting state, the PFC converter operates in fly back mode, and the charging of its
output filter capacitor can be realized with the help of the adding fly back inductors.
Operational principles of the PFC converter are discussed in both steady and starting
states. Furthermore, design considerations of the key parameters in starting state are
analyzed through comparing with the characteristics of the PFC converter in steady
state. Finally, experimental study of the proposed start-up scheme has been done on a
1.7kW laboratory-made three-phase PFC prototype, and feasibility of the presented

Abstract
Multiphase energy conversion systems have been recently proposed for motoring
and generating applications where bidirectional power flow is required. When such
multiphase systems are connected to the grid (e.g. in multi-MW wind energy systems),
efficiency is maximized by operating the system in a balanced manner with an equal
distribution of the power among phases. However, the situation differs when the
multiphase system is connected to different microgrids with individual active and
reactive power requirements. In this scenario, an unequal power sharing between the
different phases of the multiphase machine becomes mandatory. This work explores the
control strategy to operate in speed mode with an independent regulation of the power
contribution to the microgrids.

Abstract
Rising demand for distributed generation based on Renewable Energy Sources
(RES) has led to several issues in the operation of utility grids. The microgrid is a
promising solution to solve these problems. A dedicated energy storage system could
contribute to a better integration of RES into the microgrid by smoothing the renewable
resource’s intermittency, improving the quality of the injected power and enabling
additional services like voltage and frequency regulation. However, due to energy/power
technological limitations, it is often necessary to use Hybrid Energy Storage Systems
(HESS). A second order sliding mode controller is proposed for the power flow control
of a HESS, using a Four Leg Three Level Neutral Point Clamped (4-Leg 3LNPC)
inverter as the only interface between the RES/HESS and the microgrid. A three-
dimensional space vector modulation and a sequence decomposition based AC side
control allows the inverter to work in unbalanced load conditions while maintaining a
balanced AC voltage at the point of common coupling. DC current harmonics caused by
unbalanced load and the NPC floating middle point voltage, together with the power
division limits are carefully addressed in this paper. The effectiveness of the proposed
technique for the HESS power flow control is compared to a classical PI control scheme
and is proven through simulations and experimentally using a 4 Leg 3LNPC prototype
on a test bench.

Abstract
The main objective of a photovoltaic (PV) inverter is to inject the PV power into
the ac-grid. Generally, due to variations in solar irradiance, inverters operate bellow their
rated current. Therefore, this current margin can be used to ancillary services, such as
harmonic current compensation. However, it is necessary to study the photovoltaic
inverters voltage and current capability effects during harmonic current injection. In this
context, this work presents an algorithm to define the limitations imposed by the dc-link
voltage and the inverter current. The algorithm is validated through a simulation and an
overview of the simulation characteristics are also presented in this paper. Simulation
results show that the algorithm can well estimate the amount of current that can be
synthesized by the converter. According to the results, it is demonstrated that the dc-link
voltage, the characteristics of the filter and the harmonic order contribute to the amount
of harmonic current that can be synthesized by the converter.

A Fuzzy Model Based MPPT Control for PV Systems

Abstract
This project introduces a polynomial fuzzy model based Maximum Power Point
Tracking (MPPT) control approach to increase the performance and efficiency of the
solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity generation. The proposed method relies on a
polynomial fuzzy modeling, a polynomial Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) and
a Sum-of-Squares (SOS) decomposition. The proposed method is a generalization of the
standard Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models and Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) which
showed its effectiveness in decreasing the tracking time and increasing the efficiency of
the PV systems. In this study, a Direct Maximum Power (DMP)-based control structure
is considered for MPPT. Using the polynomial fuzzy model representation, the DMP-
based control structure is formulated in terms of SOS conditions. Unlike the
conventional approaches, the proposed approach does not require exploring the
maximum power operational point. Finally, the extensive studies and hardware-in-the-
loop (HiL) simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract
In recent years, there has been increasing interest in the substitution of synthetic
fibers in reinforced plastic composites by natural plant fibers such as jute, sisal, coconut
spathe, coir, flax, hemp and rice straw. Many natural fibers have been identified which
have some appropriate mechanical properties for structural purposes, being of low
density and high specific strength and stiffness. The main objective of present work is to
analyse the mechanical properties of composites made by reinforcing sisal, rice straw and
coconut spathe as the new natural fibers into polyester resin matrix as a potential
material for engineering applications. The natural fibers extracted by retting and
decorticating process were subjected to alkali treatment. The composites fabricated
consist of reinforcement in the hybrid combination like sisal, rice straw and coconut
spathe with the weight fraction varying from 30% as fiber and 70% as resin. Natural fiber
reinforced composites were manufactured according to ASTM standards using hand lay
– up process. The mechanical properties such as tensile strength, flexural strength and
impact strength of the composite material have to be evaluated. The finite element
analysis is to be carried out the mechanical properties of the composite by using ANSYS.

hazardous nature of materials passed through many industrial piping systems. This
project deals with stress analysis of rigid flange couplings subjected to Static loads using
ansys. The design of flange coupling will be done in SOLID WORKS PREMIUM
SOFTWARE 2014 and material is low alloy steel (GR.ASTM A204). To obtain
computer solution ANSYS will be used and it was compared with manual calculated
values. If it was more than calculated values of shear stress then the design is safe.

Analysing the Mechanical Behaviour of Compression Helical Spring

SANTHOSH KUMAR1, V.P. VENKATA MUTHU2,M.E.,AP/MECH

Abstract
Springs are widely used in automobile industry for various applications. Major
requirements of the spring material are high yield strength, high proportional limit, and
high fatigue strength. These desirable properties of spring can be achieved firstly by a
higher carbon content or with suitable alloying elements, and secondly by surface
treatment. Steel springs are used in hard & high strength condition. To attain these
properties, springs are nitrided during the manufacturing process of mechanical springs,
high tensile residual stresses are generated which reduces considerably the spring
strength and service life. These unfavorable residual stresses are partially eliminated by
the surface treatment.. By processing the surface heat treatment process the temperature,
hardness and ultimate tensile strength are gradually decreased and the ductility was
improved. The most suitable surface treatment conditions (time range and temperature
level) were obtained; these parameters give rise to the highest fatigue resistance with
minimum spring relaxation. The microstructure of the compression helical spring is
varied and proved in the scanning electron electron microscope.

Abstract
Design optimization is an inevitable activity in the product life cycle of a
component. It has been proved that finite element analysis helps to achieve design
optimization. A Mechanical element such as clutch and brake used in specialized
equipment has been analyzed in this work. The construction of clutch cum brake unit
consists of clutch housing, brake housing and magnet enclosed with magnet housing. In
the existing clutch cum brake unit, the required torque range of 50-55 Nm is not
achieved. since its maximum transmitting capacity is limited to 35 Nm. To avoid this
limitation and to increase the transmission capacity, the present Clutch Cum brake can
be redesigned to obtain the maximum transmission capacity considering the following
parameters.

Abstract
A tilting car is a special type of automobile that has the ability to change the angle
between the road and the bottom of the passenger cabin in such way that there are
reduced horizontal forces while driving through a curve.it may be 3 or 4 wheeler. It will
give better dynamic stability as well as directional stability to the vehicle, better road
grip, and better comfort to the passengers, and the most important load carrying capacity
of vehicle increases. In our project work we have tried to develop a tilting mechanism for
the vehicle. This feature enables the vehicle to tilt in to the curve while negotiating it.
The method we have used is a simple mechanical tilting system by using the shock
absorbers. This tilting mechanism if successful would dramatically increase the
maximum speed in curves. This would also provide the advantages of increased
passenger comfort and handling. In order to develop a tilting mechanism for a narrow
track car to give it the flexibility of a motor cycle. This can be operated on reduced lanes
thereby increasing the effective capacity of highways.

Abstract
Emotional Intelligence must somehow combine two of the three states of mind
cognition and affect or intelligence and emotion. Emotional intelligence refers to the
ability to perceive, control, and evaluate emotions. Some researchers suggest that
emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened, while other claim it is an inborn
characteristic. A number of testing instruments have been developed to measure
emotional intelligence, although the content and approach of each test varies. If a worker
has high emotional intelligence, he or she is more likely to be able to express his or her
emotions in a healthy way and understand the emotions of those he or she works with,
thus enhancing work relationships and performance. Emotional Intelligence is not about
being soft It is a different way of being smart - having the skill to use his or her emotions
to help them make choices in the moment and have more effective control over
themselves and their impact on others. Emotional Intelligence has strong impact on
Stress Management. It is suggested that management of Organizations should focus
their attention to improve the level of Emotional Intelligence of their employees in order

Abstract
Industrial Relationship Management constitutes an emerging trend of managing
human resource by building and maintaining individualized and mutually valuable
relationship with employees in PRS Tyres. Employees are the major assets of an
organization. It is very essential that the employees perform together as a collective unit
and contribute equally towards the realization of common goal. However, given the
early and still emerging state, there is little knowledge and agreement regarding IRM.
Hence here my paper attempts to clarify the concept and derive research implications.
The technological and strategic of ERM are discussed based on the Customer
Relationship Management. As a result, a first general outline of an interesting concept is
presented. Based on outline, the major implications for further theoretical and empirical
evaluation of IRM are derived to propose directions for future research. Employee
relationship management has focused on enabling to collaborate on typical managerial
tasks with their employers. By engaging inputs from both sides of the employment
relationship, IRM platforms aim to align the interests of both parties, worker. And
employer, and inform day-to-day business functions under a streamlined workflow. The
equation that we are considering has the elements of scientific management, industrial
welfare, and human relations as the causative factors affecting good employment
relation.

Abstract
World wide a great deal of research is currently being focused on the use of
correct material for repair and strengthening of existing reinforced concrete structure and
the research is also concern about the effective utilization of fine aggregate in
construction industries due to scarcity of natural resources. Some of the special
performance requirements of repair and strengthening material are strength, durability,
effectiveness of bonding of new material to the existing structure etc. Ferro cement is one
of the versatile materials for strengthening of structures and is identified as a novel
construction that meets one or more of the above mentioned performance requirements.
If Ferro cement, having special performance requirements, is used for strengthening,
repair and construction of building elements, then the benefits achieved will be more.
For instance, the use of Ferro cement in the construction of earthquake resistant
structures, precast roof elements, and other marine uses will result in the design of
smaller sections.

Abstract
In India, about 960 million tones of solid wastes are being generated annually as
by-products during industrial, mining, municipal, agricultural and other processes. The
above waste can be used as binders and aggregates in concrete. Coconut shell (CS), one
of the most common agricultural waste in tropical countries can possibly be used as
coarse aggregate in concrete especially highly desirable in the production of light weight
concrete (LWC). This project presents the results of the works concerning with the
plastic shrinkage and deflection characteristics of coconut shell concrete slab made with
CS as coarse aggregate and these were analyzed and compared with the various %
replacement of CS by normal aggregate (NAG) in concrete. A total of 45 cubes and 5
slabs for 100% CS concrete, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% replacement of CS by NAG in
concrete were casted and tested. Data presented include the 7 days, 14 days and 28 days
cube compressive strength, total plastic shrinkage crack area, load versus deflection and
cracking pattern of slab. From the experimental investigation, it was generally observed
that the cube compressive strength of concrete increases as % of NAG increases. Total
plastic shrinkage crack area decreases as % of CS increases. The slab deflection increases
as % of CS increases. It shows that CS concrete exhibits less shrinkage and more
deflection compare to NAG concrete and it gives warning before failure. This
investigation gives encouraging results for CS to be used as coarse aggregate in the
production of LWC.

Abstract: Generally, cement concrete is weak in tensile strength and even the steel
reinforced concrete has limited ductility and little resistance to cracking. The utilization
of concrete is increasing at a higher rate due to development in infrastructure and
construction activities all around the world. Researchers are using agricultural and
industrial waste to improve the strength properties of concrete and to lead sustainable
development. This environmental reason has generated a lot of concern in the
construction world. Natural fibers, as reinforcement, have recently attracted the attention
of researchers because of their advantages over other established materials. They are
environmentally friendly, fully biodegradable, abundantly available, renewable, cheap
and have low density. Plant fibers are light compared to glass and carbon fibers. To
overcome the deficiency of the conventional concrete, fibers have been added to prevent
the concrete from cracking and also the strength will be increased. In this project, a study
is conducted to analyze impact of using sisal fiber to reinforce the cement concrete
components.

Abstract: Utilization of waste material in concretewould be beneficial in order to find an
alternativesolution to reduce environmental pollution. One of the waste materials is
polyethylene terephthalate (PET)which is a polyester material and is produced in
largequantities. In this work fibres are simply cut from waste plastic bottles reducing, in
this way, themanufacturing costs of recycled PET fibre concrete. The waste plastic bottles
are difficult to biodegrade andinvolve processes either to recycle or reuse.
Theconstruction industry is in requiring of finding costeffective materials for increasing
the strength ofconcrete structures. In India approximately 40 million tons of solid waste
is produced, annually. This isincreasing at a rate of 1.5 to 2% every year.
Plasticsconstitute 12.3% of total waste produced most of which is from discarded water

Abstract
Demolition of old structures to make way for new and modern ones is common
features in metropolitan areas due to rapid urbanization. However, very little demolished
concrete is recycled or reused. The strict environmental laws and lack of dumping sites in
urban areas on one hand are making the disposal of demolition wastes problematic while
on the other hand the quarrying of raw materials is becoming difficult.

Abstract:
The study of local scour around bridge piers is very important for safe design of
piers and other hydraulic structures. In this study, shape of pier is the main concern with
three different velocities (0.18, 0.25, and 0.3) m/sec and other parameters like flow
depth, bed material and etc. are remain same for all experiments. The experiments were
conducted using laboratory flume, operated under the clear water condition using sand
as a bed material. The test program was done on ten different shapes, Circular,
Rectangular, Octagonal, Chamfered, Hexagonal, Elliptical, Sharp, Joukowsky, Oblong,
streamline. Were used to investigate the effect of the bridge pier's shape on local scour to
conclude the optimal shape that gives minimum depth of scour. Comparison of results
show that scours at upstream is directly proportional to exposed area of upstream nose of
pier. The results showed that the rectangular pier gives the largest scour depth (7.6) cm,
while the streamline shape gives the lowest scour depth (3) cm. The equilibrium scour
depth of pier models compared with theoretical equations has been developed by some
researchers and the results were very close.

Abstract:
Epoxy-bonding of FRP plates tithe tensile face of RC beams has been shown to
be an effective repair and strengthening technique. However, local failure by deboning or
ripping of concrete cover has been reported in experiments to be a likely mode of failure
due to high interfacial shear and normal stress concentrations, Predictive models for
finding the interracial shear stress have been reviewed and evaluated using experimental
data reported in the literature. The most critical parameters governing the interracial
shear strength and stress as determined by the models were also examined. Through
understanding of the conditions that result in deboning failure, a better approach towards
designing FRP-plated RC beams against this mode of failure might be achieved.

Abstract:
Self-compacting concrete is a development of conventional concrete, in which the
use of vibrator for compaction is no more required. But its initial higher supply cost over
conventional concrete, has hindered its application to general construction. Therefore, for
producing low cost SCC, it is prudent to look at the alternates to help reducing the SSC
cost. This research is aimed at evaluating the usage of bagasse ash with viscosity
modifying agent in SCC, and to study the relative costs of the materials used in SCC. The
normal concrete is weak in initial shrinkage where as introduction of fibers to concrete
decreases its initial shrinkage and also imparts higher strength to concrete later on stage.
In this project a study has been done on replacement of cement with bagasse ash and the
effect of Polypropylene fiber on the hardened properties of SCC like compressive, split
tensile and flexural strength. The SCC made with varying percentage of bagasse ash from
10% to 20% and Polypropylene fibres from 0% to 0.2% to the total volume of concrete
along with addition of viscosity modification agent 0.3% to the volume of cement content
for M30 mix proportion.

Abstract:
In recent days, strengthening of structures has gained more importance. In
earthquake prone zone, ductility is a desirable factor for increased life. Conventional
reinforced concrete structures are brittle in nature with limited ductility. Hence to increase
the life of the structures under the effect of earthquake force, lot of strengthening
techniques have been developed and adopted over the years. From the past earthquakes, it
was observed that the major collapse of structures has occurred due to the failure of beam-
column joints. Repairing of damaged beam-column joint is extremely difficult and least
successful one. Hence the damage has to be prevented. Laboratory experiments have
shown that SIFCON possess both high strength and large ductility. SIFCON (Slurry
Infiltrated Fibrous Concrete) is one of the evolving techniques used for strengthening of
structures.

Abstract:
Mobile ad hoc network is a sort of remote system, in this system specialized
gadgets are known as the hubs and the network between hubs are known as
connections. The hubs are utilized; this correspondence joins for exchanging data
among source and target machines. For that reason hub devours the directing
procedures for way revelation and exchange of information. Because of constrained
network the hubs are likewise using the transfer system or multi-hop mechanism.
Because of this system embrace the whole middle of the road hub in the correspondence
way. This leads issues of interior sort of assaults in system, in this proposed work an
inside assault in particular vampire assault is explored and a fitting technique is
proposed for execution and improving security with the execution of system. Keywords:

In contemporary world, mobile and mobility are playing the vital role in all the
aspects of human life. Most of the researchers are focusing on how to satisfy the
customer with their needs. It leads to concentrate on handoff process in heterogeneous
network environments with low latency. This paper is depicting the concepts of handoff
and prediction algorithms in artificial intelligence for minimizing the latency. First we
have to calculate the Null dwell time between the networks while transferring the data
and implementation using IPV6. IPv6 reduces the size of routing tables and makes
routing more efficient and hierarchical. IPv6's simplified packet header makes packet
processing more efficient. Compared with IPv4, IPv6 contains no IP-level checksum, so
the checksum does not need to be recalculated at every router hop. We propose the new
novel prediction paradigm using linear regression for prediction of the device heath and
weakness status. Hence we can predict and increase the faster processing handoff in
heterogeneous networks.

Abstract:
Ad hoc networks have been proposed for emergency communication wherein the
required infrastructure is unavailable. .Even in infrastructure based wireless networks, when
the number of contending nodes is high, more number of frame collisions occur which leads
to drastic reduction in network performance. However, a major concern in Ad hoc networks
is collisions .Furthermore, the packet transmission procedure of the DCF protocol is modified
to avoid channel capture effect and this is represented with a Markov chain model. In SCW
algorithm, each station (STA) actively tracks the transmission cases of the network and when
the channel state is changed, the contention window (CW) of each station which participates
in the competition is synchronized by resetting the CW, which makes each station get the
medium access grant with the same probability in next channel contention. The experimental
results show that with the increase of the number of the stations, the fairness index of the
SCW algorithm is nearly equal to 1 and always keeps stable, and when the number of stations
is large(nearly 36 STAs), the throughput and delay of the network are respectively increased
and reduced by nearly 11% and 6% than the conventional BEB algorithm. The proposed
algorithm can effectively improve the performance of throughput and delay, and it has an
excellent fairness of network. Therefore, it is especially suitable the wireless networks with
the dense stations, higher throughput, and high fairness.

ABSTRACT
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are one of the emerging technologies of wireless
com- munication, in which each node in the MANET acts as a router. In an ad hoc network,
any node can communicate with any other node in the network. However, this infrastructure
of mobile nodes makes this system more vulnerable to various types of attacks. A black hole
attack is one such attack in which the packet is dropped maliciously. In this paper, we

propose a security solution known as the honeypot-based dynamic anomaly detection using
cross-layer security (HBDADCS). The proposed technique detects and isolates black hole
attacks from the ad hoc network. In this work, various novel algorithms are used which
involve honeypot methodology. These technologies are proposed in order to detect and
isolate black hole attacks from the network. Simulation-based results prove that the proposed
technique has better packet delivery and end to end to delay with a decreased network load
solely due to control packets compared to the other existing techniques.
