The History of Havmor Ice Cream :

 Havmor Ice Cream is a brand that has been


around since 1944, when it was founded
by Satish Chona in Karachi, Pakistan.
Chona was an engineer who used to work
for BOAC (of British Airways). After his
day job he started working at his
uncle’s restaurant, where he learnt to make
ice-creams After the partition of India and
Pakistan, Chona moved the business to
Ahmedabad, India, where it has thrived
ever since. He called this fledgling brand
'Havmor' -- a neologism for 'Have More' --
which meant the customer, got more value
for money, and more taste to relish, from
his Ice Creams. Perhaps he didn't know it
then, but he had laid the foundation for one
of Western India's most enduring market
legends. And good quality, like good
character, wins over the situation sooner or
later. It also may be described as an
experiment of a business running
successfully since past 70 years. It
represents the co-operation of four groups
which are interlined with each other.

Today, Havmor Ice Cream is one of the
most popular ice cream brands in India,
with over 160 flavours available across the
country. The company prides itself on using
only the finest ingredients and creating

DEPARTMENTS
Production Department : The production
department of Havmor is responsible for
creating the delicious ice creams that the
brand is known for. This department ensures
that the ice creams are made using high-
quality ingredients and that they meet the
brand's standards for taste and texture. And
the production process is the combination of
certain steps to obtain the final product.
These steps collectively are said as process.
Many processes are undertaken in creaming
before the milk & milk products reach the
hands of the final consumer Because of the
processing the life expectancy of these
perishable items increases and they may be
preserved and retained for a longer period
without any deterioration in the quality.

Marketing Department :The Marketing


Department of Havmor is responsible for the
promotion and advertising of the company's
products and services. It conducts market
research to identify consumer needs and
preferences, and develops marketing
strategies to reach target audiences through
various channels such as social media,
television, print, and radio. The department
also manages public relations and
communication with stakeholders, including
customers, investors, and the media. It
works closely with other departments within
the company to ensure that all marketing
efforts are aligned with the overall business
goals and objectives.

Finance Department: The Finance


Department at Havmor is responsible for
managing the company's financial resources
and ensuring that it remains profitable and
sustainable. They oversee budgeting and
forecasting, financial reporting, and tax
compliance. The department also provides
strategic guidance to senior management on
matters related to investments, mergers and
acquisitions, and risk management. They
play a critical role in helping Havmor
achieve its long-term growth objectives.
Human Resources Department: The
Human Resources Department at Havmor is
responsible for managing the company's
most valuable asset: its employees. They
handle everything from recruitment and
hiring to training and development, and
provide support for all HR-related issues.
The department also oversees employee
benefits, compensation, and performance
evaluations. They strive to create a positive
and inclusive work environment that fosters
creativity and innovation, and encourages

PRODUCTION PROCESS :
 Ingredient Sourcing: The first stage in
the production process of Havmor is
ingredient sourcing. The company sources
only the highest quality ingredients from
trusted suppliers, including fresh milk,
cream, sugar, and natural flavours. Once
the ingredients are received, they undergo
a thorough inspection process to ensure
that they meet Havmor's strict quality
standards before being used in the
production process.
 Mixing and Freezing : After the
ingredients have been sourced and
inspected, they are mixed together in
precise proportions using advanced mixing
equipment. This ensures that the ice cream
has a consistent texture and flavor. The
mixture is then frozen using state-of-the-
art equipment that rapidly freezes the
mixture while also incorporating air into it
to create a light and fluffy texture.
 Flavoring and Additives : Once the ice
cream base has been created, it is time to
add the flavors and any other additives.

authentic flavor. Some of the popular
flavors offered by Havmor include

almond and paan (a traditional Indian
mouth freshener).

and Kwality Wall's.

OUTCOME OF VISIT :
 One of the first things that stood out to
me during my visit to Havmor was their
wide range of product offerings. From
classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla
to unique options like paan and guava
chili, there was something for everyone.
They also had a variety of toppings and
mix-ins available, allowing customers to
customize their orders to their liking.
What impressed me even more was the
quality of the ice cream itself. It was rich,
creamy, and had a smooth texture. The
flavors were distinct and not
overpowering, making it a delightful treat
for the taste buds. Another aspect of my
visit that left a lasting impression on me
was the excellent customer service
provided by the staff at Havmor. For
