• Important Deadlines
How do I appeal?

ü Students can only submit their appeals via the online Course Appeal Form, which will be made available after their
registration period.

ü Appeals are reviewed independently, and approved on a case-by-case basis.

ü Students on Academic Status are neither allowed to register online or overload beyond the Normal Load (18). Instead,
they are required to fill in the online ARP Form.

ü Students, who intend to read minor courses, must approach the offering school to appeal for any prerequisite waiver. If
approved, they must send the email proof to eeeundgrad@ntu.edu.sg to execute the waiver.

ü Course Coordinators and Academic Mentors do not administer course registration. Thus, they can neither grant
approvals nor release vacancies for course(s) that you are not able to register.
Course Appeal Form (Terms & Conditions)
q The Course Appeal Form is only applicable to students who need help to either seek approval to waive the academic / registration
restrictions or register Core / Major Prescribed Electives / GER-Core courses.

q The appeal forms are not applicable for the following situations:
• No course registered
• Change of timetable to accommodate GER-PE/UE electives or DIP or FYP
• Appeal for GER elective placements

q The registration administrator shall assign any available index to the requested course(s).

q Students cannot assume that they will be guaranteed a place for the requested courses. Any appeals will be reviewed by the
Registration Officer, and subjected to availability of vacancies.

q We reserve the right to change some of the classes or even the entire timetable to ensure that students are registered for all their
requested courses. Upon completion, we would not revert to the original timetable, if the student is not satisfied with the registered
index.
Academic Registration Petition Form (Terms & Conditions)
q This form is only applicable to students who have attained Academic Warning/Probation after the release of the Semester 2
examination results. Students would be barred from accessing STARS to register the courses.

q The student must contact his/her Academic Mentor on the study plan via Email/MS Teams to discuss on his/her study plan. Once a
plan has been agreed, please get an email endorsement from the mentor to be attached to the online ARP Form.

q Students can only register their Normal Study Load (18 AUs). Overloading is strictly not allowed.

q Courses without the necessary prerequisite will not be registered.

q Registration will only be done for Core and Major Prescribed Courses of the student’s current year of study.

q Students may indicate five choices each for GER-PE and UE. Students should also utilise the maximum choices allowed to be on
waiting list for a higher chance of being allocated electives instead of just putting one or two choices. All GER Electives can only be
placed on waitlist, subjected to allocation of placement by the Office of Academic Services.
