Specifically, we built custom FPGA modules to control reconfigurable antennas from hardware

Recent progress in the research area of communications and information. Interference alignment (IA)
is one of the cooperative techniques of interference management, where all the interference observed
at a particular receiver from the unwanted transmitters are aligned in a lower dimensional space, thus
giving higher degrees of freedom to the desired streams. The initial idea of interference alignment
was discussed by Maddah Ali and Syed Jafar in 2007-08 in the multiple input multiple output
(MIMO) XC and single input single output (SISO) channels. This has come along with the
introduction of Interference Alignment (IA). If we consider the channels such as, the X channel
(XC), the interference channel (IC) and the Z channel (ZC); multiple signals from multiple users are
transmitted at the same time with the same frequency causing interference to the unwanted receivers.
Experimental results show that IAC improves the average throughput of MIMO LAN by 1.52x on
the downlink and 2.08x on the uplink. The traditional approach of avoiding interference via
orthogonal access of shared resources by multiple devices has been the most prevalent in multiuser
wireless networks. In a relatively short time, this concept has challenged much of the conventional
wisdom about the throughput limits of both wired and wireless networks. This interference limits the
