How to install:

WAGO recommends exclusive use of original WAGO SD cards, as the firmware update has been
tested and released based on these cards. The maximum size is 32 GB, also pay attention to the
different types. The controller PFC100 only supports µSD cards. If using cards other than WAGO,
WAGO cannot guarantee and take responsibility for proper functioning of the controller/coupler.
From FW 19 there is a device specific firmware for the PFC's. Explanation Generation
G1:8x0x, Generation G2:8x1x

1. Delete the content of the card permanently (securely) using a partition manager, computer
management or the Windows program Diskpart (clean all).

2. Write image on the WAGO SD card with "Win32DiskImager". To download click here:

3. Plug-in the WAGO SD card first before booting the PFC100/200.

4. Adjust the static IP address with "WAGO Ethernet Settings"

Important Note: Due to changes in the WebBasedManagement (WBM), make sure to
delete the full browser cache (!) and restart the browser after.

WAGO Ethernet settings is at least required in version 6.8.2.2. To download this version, click

5. Open "WebBasedManagement / Configuration – Administration / Create Image // Create

bootable image from active partition (memory card) // Start Copy".

6. After you have successfully copied the WAGO SD card content, switch off the PFC100/200
and remove the WAGO SD card.

Note for Linux file system (PFC/IPC/Edge/CC100):

When performing a firmware update, it is important to undo changes in the root directory. If the
message "failed to persist settings file" occurs during this process, it can be an indication of manual
changes in the Linux file system.
