D. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(d) Remove the bolts that hold the bleed valve to the
compressor case.
B. Tools: None
E. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(c) Install the bleed valve on the case with the tube
adapter aligned with its connecting air tube.
F. Postrequisites: None
B. Prerequisites: None
C. Tools: None
D. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(1) Loosen the clamp that holds the flexible bleed duct
that directs the bleed air to the exhaust box. Remove
the flexible duct from the bleed valve.
(2) Loosen the clamp that holds the bleed valve air tube on
the bleed valve assembly.
(3) Remove the lockwire then disconnect the air tube from
the bleed valve assembly.
(5) (GG8-2, GG8-3) Remove lockwire and the bolts that hold
the bleed valve assembly to the adapter on the rear
compressor case. Discard lockwire.
(7) Remove the tube reducer and gasket from the bleed valve
assembly.
(8) Remove the bolts that hold the adapter on the rear
compressor case.
B. Tools: None
E. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(2) Install the adapter on the boss and attach the adapter
to the boss on the case with bolts lubricated with
PWA 521 Oil. Torque the bolts 75 - 85 lb-in. (8.474 -
9.604 N.m.) and lockwire.
(9) Tighten the clamp that holds the bleed valve air tube.
Torque the nuts to the 36 - 40 lb-in. (4.067 -
4.519 N.m).

D. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(1) Loosen the clamp that holds the flexible bleed duct
that directs the bleed air to the exhaust box. Remove
the flexible duct from the bleed valve.
(2) Loosen the clamp that holds the PS4 air tube in the
correct position.
(3) Remove the lockwire and disconnect the air tube from
the bleed valve assembly.
(4) Remove the lockwire and then remove the bolts and key
washers that attach the bleed valve to the diffuser
case.
(6) Remove the tube adapter and copper gasket from the side
of the bleed valve.

D. Expendables:
E. Procedure
See Figure 1.
(3) Install the bleed valve in the boss with the air tube
boss pointed to the front of the case and align with
its connecting air tube. Attach the bleed valve to
the boss with four new key washers and four bolts
lubricated with PWA 521 Oil.
(7) Attach the PS4 air tube to the adapter and torque the
tube nut to 110 - 120 lb-in. (12.428 - 13.558 N.m).
