3 We Offer?
The University of Agronomic Sciences
and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest has
two campuses: Agronomie-Herăstrău and
Veterinary Medicine-Cotroceni.
In Agronomie-Herăstrău Campus, with
an area of 39 hectares near the famous
Bucharest park, there are located six faculties:
Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Sciences,
Land Reclamation and Environmental
Engineering, Biotechnologies and the Faculty
of Management, Economic Engineering in
Agriculture and Rural Development.

academic universities with agronomic profile in

5.1. Recognition of studies for
citizens of an EU, EEA country
and the Swiss Confederation
for admission to undergraduate
studies
I. Admission documents
Applications should be submitted to the
International Relations Office (Universitatea de
Ştiinţe Agronomice şi Medicină Veterinară din
Bucureşti, Bd. Mărăşti nr. 59, Sector 1, 011464,
Bucureşti) according to the admission calendar
updated each year.
After the Romanian Ministry of National
Education and Scientific Research issues the
recognition of the foreign degrees, the candidate
follows the same calendar and admission
conditions as Romanian citizens (including
subscription at the Faculty, documents, and
possible exams or file contests).
Documents required for the recognition of
studies:
1. Application form
2. School leaving certificate/High school
diploma/Baccalaureate diploma - certified

copy and certified translation in Romanian
language;
3. All the high school transcripts for grades 9
through 12 (13) – simple copy and certified
translation in Romanian language;
4. P roof of citizenship in connection with an
official ID or valid passport (pages 1, 2, 3, and
4);
5. C opy of the receipt for the fee of 50 lei which
shall be deposited in the „CNRED bank
account” (more details: https://new.cnred.
edu.ro/cnred/);
Fees can be paid by payment order in the
Ministry bank account.
* Documents issued exclusively in English or French
DO NOT NEED TO BE TRANSLATED.
** Diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal
and Cyprus need to bear the Hague Apostille
Convention from the authorities of the country
that issued the document.
Diplomas issued in countries which are not
party to the Hague Convention must be
authenticated by the Ministry of Education and
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing
country, and the Embassy of Romania in that
country.
The certificate for recognition will be sent to the
university or issued to the owner of the study
documents/another person empowered by the
owner of the study documents.
No application is examined if any of the
required documents is missing, or if spaces in
the application form have been left blank.

All the documents (certified copies and simple
copies) submitted for recognition will remain at
the archive of the CNRED.
For admission at the university, candidates will
prepare another set of documents, according to
the admission procedure.
Please be aware that the documents mentioned
above may be the subject of some changes.
5.2. 
Admission procedures for the
non-eu students (self-sponsored)
bachelor level
I. Admission documents
Candidates should send their admission
documents, by regular post, to the International
Relations Office (Universitatea de Ştiinţe
Agronomice şi Medicină Veterinară din
Bucureşti, Bd. Mărăşti nr. 59, Sector 1, 011464,
Bucureşti).
Documents required for application:
1. Application form in 2 original copies;
2. High-school graduation diploma or its
equivalent – certified copy in the original
language and certified translation, at notary
public (in Romanian, English or French,
if the original is not issued in one of these
languages).
3. Transcript of records – certified copy or
certified translation at notary public (in
Romanian, English or French, if the original
is not issued in one of these languages).
4. Birth certificate – certified copy or certified

translation at notary public (in Romanian,
English or French, if the original is not issued
in one of these languages).

 assport copy – valid for at least 6 months after
the date of issue of the Letter of Acceptance.

 edical certificate (in Romanian, English or
French) attesting that the applicant does not
suffer from any spreading diseases or any
other affections incompatible with the future
profession.

All the above mentioned documents need to be
prepared in two sets one for the ministry and one for
the university.
II. Admission process
The admission process of Non-EU candidates
takes the following steps:
1. T he application file is registered at the
university;
2. I f complete, the application file is processed
by the university;
3. T he files accepted by the university will be
sent to the Ministry of National Education
and Scientific Research for evaluation;
4. F or the candidates accepted, the Ministry of
National Education and Scientific Research
will issue the Letter of Acceptance, which will
be sent in original to the university (around
30 working days);

5. The university will inform the candidate
about the acceptance and will send the Letter
of Acceptance to the candidate;
6. If admitted to study in Romania, after receiving
the Letter of Acceptance, the candidate must
contact the closest Romanian Embassy and
search for information concerning the study
visa application.
The visa application is a personal approach
and the university is not in the position
to interfere in the process. In case the visa
application includes some documents issued
by the university, the candidate must require
specifically those documents.
7. For enrollment at the faculty the student
must submit the original study documents
and the proof of tuition fees payment for the
first academic year.
After receiving the Letter of Acceptance, each
candidate has to confirm that he/she accepts to
enroll at our University, by sending an email
with the receipt attesting the payment of the
tuition fee for the first academic year.
Please be aware that the documents mentioned
above may be the subject of some changes.

Preparatory
7 Year
The enrollment of the foreign citizens shall be:
• the study places without tuition fees and
no scholarship in the mandatory Romanian
educational system.
• the study places with tuition fees in foreign
currency in the higher educational private
accredited system in Romanian.
• in the limit of the schools capacity in accordance
with the admission procedure of each education
institution.
The enrolment is made up according to the
methodologies published by the Ministry of National
Education and Scientific Research and also to the
admission procedure of the university. At the study
programs at which the process is carried in the
Romanian language (minimum B2 level), and the
foreign citizens can be enrolled at the university
studies after graduating from the preparatory year.
The length of the preparatory year for undergraduate
studies (Bachelor) is one academic year, and for master
degree, Ph.D. and postgraduate is at least six months,
at the high education institution accredited to organize
a preparatory course for learning the Romanian
language.

▪ Parliament Palace (Palatul Parlamentului)
Built at the special request of Nicolae Ceaușescu,

and 700 architects to build this masive structure

lobby and four underground levels, including an

▪ The Royal Palace (Palatul Regal)
Erected between 1927 and 1937 in neoclassical
style, the palace was home to King Carol II and
to his son, King Mihai I, until 1947, when the
monarchy was abolished in Romania. It was
inside the halls of this palace that King Mihai,

aged 18, led a coup that displaced the pro-Nazi
government during the World War II and put
Romania on the Allies’ side. Today, the former
Royal palace houses the Romanian National Art
Museum.
▪ The Romanian Athenaeum (Ateneul Roman)
The work of French architect Albert Galleron,
who also designed the National Bank of Romania,
the Athenaeum was completed in 1888, financed
almost entirely with money donated by the
general public. With its high dome and Doric
columns, the Athenaeum resembles an ancient
temple. Romanian Athenaeum is one of the most
important concert halls.
▪ The Arch of Triumph (Arcul de Triumf)
Initially built of wood in 1922 to honor the bravery
of Romanian soldiers who fought in World
War I, Bucharest’s very own Arc de Triomphe
was finished in 1936. Designed by the architect,
Petre Antonescu, the Arc stands 85 feet high. An
interior staircase allows visitors to climb to the top
for a panoramic view of the city. The sculptures
decorating the structure were created by leading
Romanian artists, including Ion Jalea, Constantin
Medrea and Constantin Baraschi.
