What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of 113 known cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD has many
beneficial properties and is used to promote wellness.
What is CBD used for?

CBD has not been approved by the FDA, so CBD companies cannot make health claims. How-

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. The human body (and
the bodies of all vertebrates) produce endocannabinoids, while cannabinoids found in plants are
called phytocannabinoids. Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS)
to promote homeostasis.
Will CBD get me high?

CBD should not make you high. Unlike THC, the cannabinoid that produces a “high”, CBD is
non-psychotropic. It is true that there are trace amounts of THC in full-spectrum CBD products,
but even these products are unlikely to make you feel high.
