ABSTRACT
In the past decades, the requirement in the healthcare field has been rising rapidly, and therefore the need of a
well-equipped, efficient monitoring system for health care centres has become a topic of researchers’ interest. In
general, most of the hospitals, manual inspections are done in order to collect the records of patient’s condition.
Continuous and frequent monitoring of patients is required based on their health state. This leads to disadvantages
like long measuring time, low monitor precision, and deployment of more manpower.

The aim of our project is to design a wireless health monitoring system using Arduino microcontroller.
In this project, the doctor can continuously monitor temperature and heart rate of patients. The proposed system
comprises of a transmitting module, receiving module and a microcontroller, where the transmitting module
continuously transmits the patient's physiological parameters like heart rate and temperature through use of
appropriate sensors. The sensors are used to sense the information, the microcontroller is used to receive the data
from the sensor and finally the controlled information is sent to the receiver. This monitoring system is able to
measure, analyze, and store physiological parameters of the patients' continuously.
