STATEMENT:
Rosemary fell was not exactly beautiful. No, you couldn’t have called her beautiful. Pretty? Well, if you
took her to pieces….But why be so cruel to took anyone to pieces?

REFERENCE:
These are the grand words of “Katherine Mansfield” taken from the story “A Cup of Tea”. In this story
there are 3 main characters. Katherine has well explained the words and ideas and used irony, dramatic
monologue, and past memories related to the main character Rosemary. And her stories collection are
“Pension” and “The garden Party”.

CONTEXT:
The writer of the story has beautifully used exaggeration and irony and past memories impression of the
character Rosemary. This story is written by Katherine Mansfield she is a modern short story writer best
know for her deep meaning characters. In this story we saw an amazing character named Rosemary who
is showing herself and proving herself to people as a good personality. Rosemary is interested in
shoppings and beautiful things. She is also rich but not that much happy. But she is always trying to make
herself happy and prosperous and make herself lost in the world of imagination.

EXPLAINATION:
In these lines the writer is explaining the beauty of the main character Rosemary. The character
Rosemary Fell is being described. The narrator suggests that Rosemary Fell may not be conventionally
beautiful, but the notion of her being pretty arises when examining specific aspects. The mention of not
taking anyone to pieces implies a reluctance to overly criticize or dissect someone’s appearance. The
writer is making an illusion in the starting lines that, she is beautiful but on ther other hand you
shouldn’t call her beautiful.

And also explaining the beauty of her in shape of pieces. Like if we make pieces of people and
collect all the beautiful parts from their bodies and then put them together to make a beautiful human
being. But now the writer is explaining that why so be cruel to make pieces of someone’s body. The
writer also explained that if someone is beautiful or ugly let their lives easy make it easy for them to live
it in a peaceful way. The main point in these lines the writer is explaining that you must not judge anyone
before their nature always look forward for the actions of people to analyze them not to judge them.
Because every human being is given a self decision making and individual freedom personality to live
their life in an easy way. So in concluding we can say Rosemary is not that much beautiful or not that
much ugly that we should judge her or complement her appearance by her shape and face. In the.
Character Rosemary we can also examine that she is well educated and learned with a presented and
professional mind. They were also that much rich that they can go to the Bond street for shopping. In all
the way the writer is anonymously explaining the appearance of that main character Rosemary.
