We had 2 players at our table.

Preston, playing the Bearfolk Paladin, Garrult Ironhide, and Jamie playing
Oliver, the Almost Wise, a Beer Domain Cleric.

Jamie’s character has worked at the Pickled Hare, a slum-district tavern as their brewer for several
months. Garrult responded to a job opening for a bounder and began working 2 days before the
adventure begins.

Garrult intimidated an unruly group of Kobolds on their way to work in the mines, and ended up winning
a drinking contest with a group that turned out to be caravan guards. These guards were hired by the
owner of the Pickled Hare to transport several kegs of beer to the harvest festival at the village of
Levoca. 5gp were offered to each of the characters to oversee the transport as the guards were still
inebriated.

They were warned of the dangers of marauding gangs of centaur bandits on the road, and came across
the wreckage of a wagon and a wounded human male named Edam. They stabilized the victim who
explained he and his wife were attacked by raiders, the wife was no where to be found.

An hour or so later, the body of the wife was found, she appeared to have been killed by wolves. Edam
fell silent as the party dug a shallow grave and provided last rites. Edam did not respond to either player
character.

Upon reaching Levoca, the party delivered the kegs to the local tarvern, which also functioned as the
meeting hall, and learned that a local farmer was recently killed by a bull gone rogue. The met with the
victim’s son and helped him put the bull down, Garrult had taken a vicious kick during the fight and was
injured.

The party then learned that a child had gone missing the night before and joined a search party to look
for her. They discovered a trail and followed it to find the girl’s pet pig and eventually her body. Garrult
charged in to get the body and was attacked and knocked unconscious by a swarm of bees, Oliver barely
survived pulling the Bearfolk and the girl’s body out of range of the hive, and got both back to the
village.

That night during a town meeting, a pack of wolves attacked. The PCs fought the wolves off, 4 villagers
were injured severely by the wolves, but the Cleric was able to stabilize and heal them to avoid any
dying.

After the melee, the party will find that Edam – who was previously resting in the inn, is no where to be
found. I figure he can be a hook to the GM adventure following this. The party did not explore the village
their first day there, so I would recommend pushing that for the next session. My character will be
joining as a player the next session (Malachi, the Shifter Wizard) – maybe I wander into the town.

The players did not also pick up on the warding scarecrows – so I would recommend highlighting them
more.
