Title: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Talent Acquisition”

• Artificial Intelligence and HR: The New Wave of Technology by Dr Coral Barboza (2019):
One of the most talked about and highly debated drift in the modern organizations regarding
HR Technology has been Artificial Intelligence (AI). Most re-searches of the topic on Artificial
Intelligence induce high guesses that believe artificial intelligence will be a game-changer for
higher productivity and efficiency in HR professionals. It began with talent acquisition and is
moving fully across various other areas of skills and performance to succession planning.
While it is seen that AI is for the well-being of the organization is vital for its success and
long-standing health, there is also the fear and insecurity among employees that, increased
automation may reduce the employment rate. This study looks into the state-of-the-art on
artificial intelligence and its impact in HR.

• Will Artificial Intelligence take over HR recruitment and selection by Bilal Hmoud and
László Várallyai (2019): There has been an emerging trend of utilizing Artificial Intelligence
(AI) technologies within the business environment throughout the last two decades. This
paper presents the position of Human Resources recruitment and selection, an aspect of HR
management, regarding incorporating AI solutions. The paper addresses the following
questions: To what extent will humans use AI to hire humans? To what extent and how will AI
affect recruiters' jobs? What are the organizations' and HR managers' roles in this
transformation? It has been concluded that AI provides promising solutions for recruiters to
optimize talent acquisition by taking over time-consuming repetitive tasks such as sourcing
and screening applicants, to improve the quality of the hiring process and neutralize human
biases. Augmented intelligence will be used widely and increasingly to produce better and
more effective results; as a result, routine administrative jobs will be replaced by smart AI
technologies and will gradually disappear.

• The Rise of Artificial Intelligence in Talent Acquisition by R. Seethalakshmi, T.Sowdamani

and Ashish Kumar Biswas (2020): Artificial Intelligence wins over the complexity of the hiring
process and exists as an integral part of human resources function. The AI tool streamlines
the hiring process, enhances the candidate engagement and better experience through the
proper communication. This in turn, keeps the organization in a tight talent landscape in
attracting and hiring the pool of candidates. Apparently, it is important to understand the
applications of AI tools in talent acquisition and retaining them in the organization. This
chapter outlines the AI in talent acquisition, the most frequently used AI tools, the changing
role of HR and the challenges in implementation of AI in the hiring process.

• Reinforce The Talent Acquisition Using Kaizen and Artificial Intelligence by Er. Sahil Takhi,
Er. Monika Gosain, Mr. Virender Singh (2020): This research paper aims to describe how the
blend of Kaizen System (KS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) aid the Talent Acquisition (TA). The
continual improvement i.e Kaizen approach at every step of TA e.g planning, workforce
segmentation, Employer Branding, Mapping talent acquisition with performance
management, Strategic adoption of social media, Metric and Analysis, etc. is beneficial for a
wide variety of business models and operational philosophies. This system helps the TA in its
every step to transform the result in better ways. It improves work processes, eliminate
waste, improves quality and increases the profitability of the business. The art of recruitment
is transforming, and the need for technology within this process has never been more
essential than it is today. This paper provides clear information about the Artificial
intelligence and kaizen in Talent Acquisition.

• Does Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enabled Recruitment Improve Employer Branding? by Giulia
Baratelli and Elanor Colleoni (2022): The goal of this research is to investigate if and how the
usage of AI in the recruitment process improves employer attractiveness and employer
branding in the eyes of the applicants. To investigate this issue a survey has been conducted
on a random sample of individuals composed of 50% females and 50% males. To examine
the survey’s result a structural equation modeling (SEM) has been applied. Results showed a
positive relationship between EB and AI and more in particular that AI-enabled tools are
perceived in a positive way by potential candidates. Thus, according to this study, AI is
significantly related to Employer branding and therefore it contributes to improving talent
attraction.

• Intelligent Software Tools for Recruiting by Kulkarni, S., & Che, X. (2019): In this paper, we
outline how recruiting and talent acquisition gained importance within HRM field, then give
a brief introduction to the newest tools used by the professionals for recruiting and lastly,
describe the Artificial Intelligence-based tools that have started playing an increasingly
important role. We also provide further research suggestions for using artificial intelligence-
based tools to make recruiting more efficient and cost-effective.

• How To Improve Fairness Perceptions of AI in Hiring: The Crucial Role of Positioning and
Sensitization by Anna Lena Hunkenschroer and Christoph Lütge (2021): Companies
increasingly deploy artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in their personnel recruiting and
selection processes to streamline them, thus making them more efficient, consistent, and
less human biased. However, prior research found that applicants prefer face-to-face
interviews compared with AI interviews, perceiving them as less fair (e.g., Acikgoz, Davison,
Compagnone, & Laske, 2020). Additionally, emerging evidence exists that contextual
influences, such as the type of task for which AI is used (Lee, 2018), or applicants’ individual
differences (Langer, König, Sanchez, & Samadi, 2019), may influence applicants’ reactions to
AI-powered selection. The purpose of our study was to investigate whether adjusting process
design factors may help to improve people's fairness perceptions of AI interviews. The results
of our 2 x 2 x 2 online study (N = 404) showed that the positioning of the AI interview in the
overall selection process, as well as participants’ sensitization to its potential to reduce
human bias in the selection process have a significant effect on people’s perceptions of
fairness. Additionally, these two process design factors had an indirect effect on overall
organizational attractiveness mediated through applicants’ fairness perceptions. The findings
may help organizations to optimize their deployment of AI in selection processes to improve
people’s perceptions of fairness and thus attract top talent.
