QUESTIONNAIRE FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE METROLOGICAL

TRACEABILITY OF MEASUREMENTS

This questionnaire is addressed to accredited laboratories and candidates for accreditationIt aims to:
 Check the satisfaction of the requirements relating to metrological traceability as defined in the
documents of SEMAC A 008 andAL 219 “Measurement metrological traceability assessment
guide”
 Specify how laboratories should record and demonstrate the reliability of internal and/or
external calibrations and measurements.
 enable laboratories and evaluators to assess the selection and competence of calibration service
providers for critical equipment.
 Evaluate the satisfaction of the documentary requirements of the SEMAC policy,
 Ensure compliance with ILAC policy (ILAC P 10), on traceability of measurement results
 Collect the necessary intelligence and information that will allow SEMAC to designate an
evaluation team to carry out an effective evaluation of metrological traceability to the IS in
accordance with SEMAC documents A008 and A 219 "Technical Guide for the Evaluation of
Metrological Traceability of Measurements"

 It is not necessarily enough to answer in the affirmative to show compliance with this guide as
well as with the SEMAC A 008 policy)
 All the requirements set out in sections 6.1 and 6.2 of Guide A 219 apply, whether they appear
