Volunteering project
The project
Tur Cos Ta Posibel are organising a 2 week TEAM ESC activity.
We are looking for young people age 23 – 29 years who would like
to take part in this social project where you will be involved with
making a difference in our local community on the island of Aruba.
Due to the Caribbean location of this project, our experience is that
some young people select our project based on our geographical
location, rather than the project activities and for this reason our
recruitment is very thorough.
We are offering you a 2 week volunteering project where you’ll
collaborate with international and local volunteers, including
youth from KIA, our national prison. Embrace inclusivity as we
work in an unconventional setting. Fluency in English is required,
with Spanish and Dutch proficiency beneficial. We’ll introduce you
to Papiamento, our local language. No formal skills are needed;
we value your motivation. Partnering with KIA, our focus is social
inclusion. In the youth wing, ESC volunteers lead sessions in yoga,
dance, art, music, and sports. As “Everything is Possible” suggests,
we aim to inspire resilience in young people. Join us in creating
a mural in the outdoor area and producing a CD with input from
KIA residents and ESC volunteers, to be shared with youth prisons
across Europe and the Caribbean. Will you join us in empowering
young lives?
