(Activity A Only Answers)

Ans 1: Soon after the death of Abu Talib, the Quraish opposed the Prophet (P.B.U.H) more
bitterly than ever and they increased their attacks against him.

Ans 2: One day an ill-mannered member of the Quraish threw dust on the head of the Prophet
(PBUH).

Ans 3: The sight of her father brought tears in the eyes of Fatima (Allah be pleased with her).

Ans 4: When the attacks from the Quraish grew more and his hopes to invite Quraish to Islam
faded, the Prophet(P.B.U.H) had to look for another place to continue his mission.

Ans 5: At- Taif

Ans 6: They treated the Prophet (P.B.U.H) very badly. They mocked and taunted him too.

Ans 7: they let loose their servants, slaves, ill-mannered boys to chase Him out of the city. The
Prophet (PBUH) walked on, the crowd followed Him, abusing, hooting and pelting Him with
stones as He tried to walk, until the evening when they left Him alone to find His way.

Ans 8: Wounded and bleeding, footsore and tired, shoes sodden with blood, the Prophet
(P.B.U.H) sat under the shade of a vine to rest.

Ans9: He prayed fervently to Allah.

Ans 10: It teaches us that we should remain on right path and Allah will reward us with HIS
great blessings that can remain eternal.

Ans 1: The place where the Prophet (PBUH) had sat down belonged to ‘ Utbah and Shaybah, the
sons of Rabi’ah.

Ans 2: Utbah and Shaybah sent their servant Addas with a bunch of grapes for the Prophet to
eat. Because tender feelings rose within them for Prophet (PBUH).
Ans 3: Addas was the Christian servant of Utbah and Shaybah. He was touched with emotions
and began to kiss Prophet’s feet when he came to know that He was also a like Younus, as addas
was from the land of Younus.

Ans 4: Utbah and Shaybah marvelled at what they saw and heard.

Ans 5: Prohpet Muhammad (PBUH) was staying in the house of his cousin, Hind, the daughter
of Abu Talib. She was known as Umme Hani also. She relates the Prophet (PBUH) went to sleep
after offering his night prayer. A little before the coming dawn, the Prophet (PBUH) wakened us
and we all performed the Fajar prayer. After the prayer, the Prophet (PBUH) said, “ O Umme
Hani, I offered the night prayer here in this place. Then I went to Jerusalem and prayed thereand
as you see I have just offered the Fajr prayer among you.

Ans 6: Yes , it is difficult to believe in the night journey of the Prophet (PBUH) because from
Makkah to Jeruselum covers a distance of 1200 km and it is difficult to cover that distance in one
night. But the true believers believed in Prophet (PBUH).

Ans 7: Umme Hani was the cousin of Prophet (PBUH) , daughter of Abu Talib. She advised the
Prophet to keep His secret because people can ridicule Him and harm Him. But Prophet (PBUH)
told the secret to His fellows as it is mentioned in Al-Bukhari (a book of hadith).

Ans 8: On the occasion of al-miraj the five daily prayers were made obligatory. He received
Allah’s commands that all the faithful believers should offer ‘Salah’ perfectly. And that the one
who would offer them with faith and seeking Allah’s pleasure , would be considered to have
offered fifty salawat everyday.
