The Indonesia government and World
Wild Fund (WWF) have announced a bold
commitment to protect the remaining forest and
critical ecosystems of Sumatra.
WWF said the historic agreement
represented the first-ever island-wide commitment
to protect Sumatra‘s stunning biodiversity.
The commitment was announced
Thursday at the International Union for
Conservation of Nature (IUCN), World
Conservation Congress in Barcelona and was
endorsed by the governors of Sumatra‘s 10
provinces-the world‘s sixth- largest island – and
also by four ministers.
Sumatra is the only place in the world
where tiger, elephants, orangutans and rhinos co-
exist. The agreement commits all the governors in
Sumatra, along with the Indonesia ministers of
forestry, environment, home affairs and public
works, to restore critical ecosystems in Sumatra
and protect areas with high conservation values.
WWF, Conservation International, fauna
and Flora International, Wildlife Conservation
Society and other conservation groups working in
Sumatra have agreed to help implement the
political commitment to protect what remains of
the island‘s species-rich forests and critical areas.
The island has lost 48 percent of its natural forest
cover since 1985.
More than 13 percent of Sumatra‘s
remaining forests are pet forests, which sit a top
the deepest peat soil in the world; clearing peat
forests is a major source of carbon emissions that
cause climate change.

Kaka was born in Brazilia. From age 4 to 7,
his family lived in Cuiaba, following his father, a
civil engineer. At age 7, the family moved to the
city of Sao Paulo, in the neighborhood of
Morumbi, near the stadium of Sao Paulo FC. As
FIFA says, "Kaka fails to fit the Brazilian stereo
type of the kid from the favela who first played the
game in the street with a ball made from rags.
Coming from comfortable and cultured family,
Kaka kept up his studies as long as they were
compatible with his profession."
His talent was soon recognized. A
professor called the family and suggested
enrolling him in a football school. At age B, Kaka
was playing with Sao Paulo FC, where he
succeeded in all categories. At age 14, Kaka used
to wake up two hours early, to keep up with his
studies. Kaka managed to conclude the
intermediary cycle (eleven years) in Brazil, before
dedicating exclusively to football.
In 2006, only 24 years old, Kaka was one of
the main Brazilian players in the World Cup.
Despite the abundance of good players, coach
Carlos Alberto Parreira already said that Kaka
would start as a principle. The groups formed by
Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Adriano were
called "the Magic Square" by Brazilian media fans.

Tania could not forget her experience
when an earthquake happened last week. At that
time she was on her car. She was driving home
from her aunt‘s house. Suddenly her car lunched
to one side, to the right. She didn‘t know that it
was because of an earthquake. She thought that
she got flat fire. She just knew it when she saw
some poles of electricity falling down to the road.
She was trapped by the poles, so she could not
move her car at all. There was nothing she could
do. Then she left the car and walked to her house.

Once upon a time there were two sisters.
One of them was rich but had no children, while
the other was a poor widow who had five
children.
One day, the poor widow no longer had
enough food to satisfy her self and her children. In
her need, therefore, she went to her sister and said,
"My children and I are suffering the greatest
hunger. You are my beloved sister and you are
rich. Please, give me a mouthful of bread.'
The very rich sister was too stingy to give
some food to her sister and said, "I myself have
nothing in the house," and she drove away her
sister with harsh words.
After some time, the husband of the rich
sister came home and was just going to cut himself
a piece of bread. When he made the first cut into
the loaf, out flowed red blood. When the maid saw
that, she was very terrified and told him what his
wife had done to the poor widow. After hearing

Cancer is a group of diseases that can
cause almost any signs or symptoms. The signs
and symptoms will depend on where the cancer is,
how big is and how much it affects the organs or
tissues. If a cancer has spread (metastasized), signs
or symptoms may appear in different parts of the
body.
As a cancer grows, it can begin to push on
nearby organs, blood vessels and nerves. This
pressure causes some of the sign and symptom of
cancer. If the cancer is in a critical area. Such as
certain parts of the brain, even the smallest tumor
can cause symptoms. But sometimes cancer start in
places where it will not cause any signs or
symptoms until it has grown quite large. Cancers
of the pancreas, for example, usually do not cause
symptoms until they grow large enough to press
on nearby nerves or organs (this causes back or
belly pain). Others may grow around the bile duct

and black the flow of bile. This causes the eyes and
skin to look yellow (jaundice). By the time a
pancreatic cancer causes signs or symptoms like
these, it‘s usually in an advanced stage. This
means it has grown and spread beyond the place it
started the pancreas.
A cancer may also cause symptoms like
fever, extreme tiredness (fatigue) or weight loss.
This may be because cancer cells use up much of
the body's energy supply, or they may release
substances that change the way the body makes
energy from food. Or the cancer may cause the
immune system to react in ways that produce
these signs and symptoms. Sometimes, cancer cells
release substances into the bloodstream that cause
symptoms which are nor usually linked to cancer.
For example, some cancers of the pancreas can
release substances that raise blood clots in veins of
the legs. Some lung cancers make hormone-like
substances that raise blood calcium levels. This
affects nerves and muscles, making the person feel
week and dizzy.
Treatment works best when cancer is
found early while it's still small and is less likely to
have spread to other parts of the body. This often
means a better chance for a cure. Especially if the
cancer can be removed with surgery.

Stress Will Weaken Your Immune System
Do you know that your immune system that is
protects your body from bacteria and viruses will
be weakened considerably if you are under stress?
According to health scientists in Garvan Institute,
Sydney, when a person is under stress, his nerve
system will release a hormone called
Neuropeptide (NPY). This hormone will prevent
the immune system from destroying bacteria and
viruses. Therefore, the best thing to do, according
to health scientists, is to relax, stay calm,
reorganize your lifestyle, and take up yoga or tai
chi to strengthen your immune.

An X-ray is a spectrum of light. When it is
radiated through one‘s body, it can be used for
detecting his/her internal body organs. The Xray
was invented by a German scientist, Wilhelm
Conrad Roentgen. Despite the fact that X-rays can
detect cancer, cysts, and tumors, here are many
conflicting opinions about the use of X-rays in the
hospital.
Some people agree that an X-ray
examination is beneficial. They argue that doctors
should use an X-ray in examining a severe illness.
If doctors do not use the X-ray, they could miss

in making diagnosis on a patient‘s disease. This
will sometimes cause a doctor or be inaccurate in

money. That is really true. Another reason is that
the radiation of an X-ray has some risks to body
tissues.
As a result of this controversy, many
people use traditional health cure to avoid the

get an accurate diagnosis although the cost is very
high.
