GST Sales Entry with Multiple Rates

Sold following Item with multiple rates into the M/s National Traders that you
have already created in Tally ERP 9.0.

1) On 01/07/2021 Sold 20 Units CCTV Camera @ Rs.12000 per Unit, GST


28% to the M/s Yelikar Enterprises.
2) On 01/07/2021 Sold 20 Units Digital Board @ Rs.12000 per Unit, GST 12%
to the same customer.

Solution: -

To Create a Ledger:

Step 1: Step 1: Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Ledgers > Create
(Single Ledger)

Step 2: Create the Ledger as “Yelikar Enterprises” under Sundry Debtor

Step 3: Create another ledger as “Sales @ 28% GST” under Sales Account.

Step 4: Create another ledger as “Sales @ 12% GST” under Sales Account.

Step 5: Create another ledger as “CGST” under Duties and Taxes.

Step 6: Create another ledger as “SGST” under Duties and Taxes.

Create Unit of Measure:

Step 1: Create Unit of Measures.

Inventory Info → Unit of Measures


Create Stock Group:

Step 1: Create Stock Group

Inventory Info → Create Stock Group

Step 2: Stock Group name as “Electronics Product” Primary Group.

Create Stock Item:

Step 1: Create Stock Item

Inventory Info → Stock Item

Step 2: Stock Item name as “CCTV Camera”, under Group “Electronic Products”
and select units as “Ut”. Select GST Applicable –Applicable.
Step 3: After Set/alter GST Details- Yes. Select Calculation type- On Value,
Taxability – Taxable.

Step 4: Type of Supply- Goods

Repeat these steps for “Digital Boards”.


Create Sales Voucher:

Step 1: Accounting Voucher → Sales Voucher (F8)

Step 2: Press F12: Configuration for disabling the option i.e. “Use Common ledger
account for Item allocation”-No.

Step 3: Enter the details in the voucher as Date, Supplier Invoice No, Party Name.

Step 4: Select Name of the Item, Quantity and Rate for CCTV Camera

Step 5: Select “Sales 24 % GST” ledger from the list of ledger.


Step 6: Select Name of the Item, Quantity and Rate for Digital Board

Step 7: Select “Sales 12 % GST” ledger from the list of ledger.

Step 8: Select “CGST” ledger from the list of ledger.

Step 9: Select “SGST” ledger from the list of ledger.

Step 10: To see the tax analysis click on “Tax Analysis” option from right hand
menu.
Step 11: Click on F1: Detail option to see the multiple rate GST of each product.

Step 12: Accept the transaction by pressing Y.
