CHRIST EMBASSY

CHILDREN'S SCHOOLS
MANUAL

1. WHO ARE WE ?

CE Children's School is a divine response into the educational development of

Children all round the world in the light of the current attacks by devil-inspired
people and institutions on children and early child education.

As a tuition free school birthed through the prophetic declarations of our dear Man
of God Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. D.D., Christ Embassy Children's Schools, we
are rightly positioned to train children who will be way more than their peers.

academic and spiritual development, to enable them to reach
and expand their potential.

5. FUNDING AND RUNNING OF CE CHILDREN'S SCHOOL

Christ Embassy Children's School is a tuition free school. This means that the school
is not expected to generate funding from school fees, school levies, materials etc. It is
in the light of this, that the Christ Embassy Church where the school is domiciled
must have very strategic fund-raising plans for the school.

The services of a finance expert, an experienced school administrator or an

accountant would be required to produce a working budget that clearly outlines the
funding needed by the school for an academic term and session. This will include
books for the children, school materials, running expenses, salaries etc. Based on
this, early sponsorship can immediately begin to ensure the funding is in place
before accepting new intakes.
Strategic ways of funding can be but not limited to:

· Sponsorship from the Zonal Church

· CE Children's School Building Project Campaign
· Sponsorship in commemoration of a Birthday
· Sponsorship in commemoration of a Wedding Anniversary

SONG 5
Security Panel Community should be Setup in Collaboration with LoveWorld Security
Department to Review Cyber Security Policies from Time to Time
Cyber security is a big threat especially as more children now have access to internet
enabled devices such as smart phones, computers in school and at home, smart TV at
home etc. To this end, there should be a quarterly basic cyber security awareness which
can be organized by Christ Embassy Children's School and LoveWorld Security
Department
Teachers and Parents must also be a part of this awareness campaign to have them fully
aware of the threats facing children online.

8. Day-to-day Activities

Assemblies are held every Monday morning where pupils gather to worship and
pray.
In-class fellowship and Bible study sessions are held either during the mornings or
afternoon slots of each day. Only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's materials are utilised in
these devotional sessions.
Early Reader clubs are established in the school.
Breakfast and/or lunch can be served based on the Zone.

9. Expected Impact of Christ Embassy Children's Schools in the lives of Children

Christ Embassy Children's School is indeed a breath of fresh air in the academic
environment. In a world almost inundated with the globalist and their terrible
agenda for children, taking into cognizance the almost total ignorance of the Parents
on the curriculum used for their Children, the impact of this school cannot be
overemphasized. Children will be introduced to a Christian-based Curriculum gives
them the opportunity to learn at their own pace while being guided by excellent,
biblically based, Loveworld owned learning materials.

POLICIES
DISCIPLINE & CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT POLICY
Hebrews 12:7 - 11 tells us that discipline, though sometimes painful, produces a
harvest of righteousness and peace for those trained by it.
It also tells us discipline should be born out of love and not be intended solely as
punishment or behavioural control. It should be a growth mechanism through which
we receive necessary correction, guidance, training, and moulding of character.
Discipline is important for the smooth operation of any program in which children are
involved and several rules must be followed for disciplinary measures to be successful.

ü Physical discipline, such as spanking, is never permitted. Using “reasonable”

physical restraint to prevent a child from doing something disruptive or
dangerous is permitted and may, in some instances, be necessary. Affirmation
and encouragement is always preferred.
ü Set clear reasonable rules and be sure that the children know the set classroom
rules and the consequences if those rules are broken. (Please refer to Loveworld
Children's Ministry and Schools Classroom Rules)
ü Always discipline the child not the action with a firm,
gentle voice. You must let the child know that it is the
behavior that is wrong and that you love him/her.
Avoid any words or tone that would cause a child to
think that he or she is a problem.

© Loveworld Children's Ministry & Schools 18

Here are a few rules for Effective Discipline;
Consistency: -Discipline must be consistent to be effective. Do not threaten a
consequence without the intention to follow through.
Response: Make a prompt and individualized response to inappropriate behavior.
Correct a behavior the first time and every time.
Resolution: Seek to both resolve the conflict and reconcile relationships.
Reward: Acknowledge and reward positive behavior. Encourage children who are
behaving well and following the rules.
Preparation: reparation: Read the lesson before you arrive at your classroom on
Sunday.
Often the best deterrent to discipline problems is a confident, prepared teacher.
Prayer: Pray for your kids and for you to increase in the virtue of patience consistently.
Ask the Lord to grant you the wisdom to deal wisely and to help each child receive all
they are supposed to without the distraction of naughtiness and misbehavior.
Guidelines in Non-Physical Method Discipline: - Children are to be disciplined using
time-outs and other non-physical methods of behavior management. In employing this
procedure, volunteers should observe the following guidelines:

ü Verbally redirect the child before physically intervening. With younger children
some physical redirection may be necessary (for example, removing a toy from
the hands of a child that is hitting another). If the behavior does not cease,
remove or direct the child away from the group to a corner of the room where
the group is meeting (avoid being alone with the child).
ü Provide the child with a simple, understandable reason for the time-out, and
provide the child with a clear explanation of your expectations. (“Toby, you
didn't “Toby, you didn't stop hitting Chris when I asked you to, so you need to sit
quietly in the blue chair for three minutes.”) In addition, be verbally reassuring,
as being removed from the group will likely upset the child. Do not physically
hold the child in time-out.
ü Monitor the child through the entire time-out without giving your undivided
attention. For longer time-outs give intermittent praise to reassure the child and
keep them on task. (“Toby, you're doing a great job of sitting quietly – just 2 more
“Toby, you're doing a great job of sitting quietly – just 2 more minutes.”)
ü Praise the child once he or she has completed the time-out and tell them that
their reward is being able to rejoin the group. Remind them that repeating their
initial behavior will result in further time-out. Follow this with praise.
ü If the behavior continues, The Teacher should contact the team leader or
coordinator for assistance who will determine what further action should be
taken (calling the attention of the parent from the main Church, discussion with
parent, etc.)
