Introduction:

The growing number of cars in urban areas has made it essential to develop an
appropriate vehicle parking option. The conventional parking techniques are no
longer applicable since they need a large quantity of space, which is needed to meet
parking requirements.

The daily operation of the parking management system informs the design of the
online car parking management system. The initiative offers an online platform for
managing vehicle data on a daily basis. The web-based technology known as the
vehicle parking management system is used to keep track of the vehicles entering and
leaving a parking garage. If the vehicle has been visited by a number, the
administrator can easily obtain the data. A vehicle parking management system is an
automated system that provides systematic, high-speed data processing.

Objective:

To create a user-friendly and effective website for a vehicle parking system that
makes it easier to find open spots, allows reservations online, offers real-time parking
availability updates, accepts secure payment methods, and improves the overall
parking experience for users and managers.

Its goal is to speed up and improve the functionality of the existing parking
management system. Parking solutions need to be carefully designed in densely
populated cosmopolitan areas in order to effectively manage automobiles.

Using a parking management system will help this project avoid traffic in the car park
area, which is one of its other goals. In public spaces like theaters, markets, hospitals,
function halls, workplaces, and retail malls, people typically feel uneasy searching for
an open parking spot, even when the space is paid for and has a security guard or
attendant on duty. The idea behind the parking management system is to show off
hazel-free parking.

Project Category:

Web based project with a focus on server-side scripting.

Specifically, it's a PHP web development project geared towards building a dynamic and
interactive website for a vehicle parking system.
Tools Platform and Languages are used :

Hardware:
1. Processor – i3
2. Hard Disk – 500 GB
3. Memory – 2GB RAM
4. Operating System :Windows XP

Languages:
1.Front End: HTML,CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, Jquery
2.Programming Language: Php
3.Database:MySql

In the website we use PHP and MySQL database. This is the project which keeps records
of the vehicle which is going to park in the parking area. Vehicle Parking Website has
two module .
i.e. admin, user.

Admin
Dashboard: In this sections, admin can briefly view the number of vehicle entries in
a particular period.

Category: In this section, admin can manage category (add/update/delete).

Add Vehicle: In this section, admin add a vehicle which is going to park.
Manage Vehicle: In this section, admin can manage incoming and outgoing vehicle
and admin can also add parking charges and his/her remarks.

Reports: In this section admin can generate vehicle entries reports between two
dates.

Search: In this section, admin can search a particular vehicle by parking number.
Admin can also update his profile, change the password and recover the password.
Users

Dashboard: It is welcome page for a user.

View Vehicle: In this section, users view the details of vehicle parking which is
parked by him/her.

Existing System:

In the Existing system parking areas have to manually maintain information regarding
parking. Information relating to parking details and completion have to be maintained
separately. Provide a simpler method to store and access information related to parking
slots, availabale slots, booked slots and vehicle. Provide a simple interface which will
be easily used without much training. Reduce paperwork and make all related
information accessible easily.

Conclusion:

The vehicle parking website project seeks to optimize parking space utilization, improve user
satisfaction, and enhance operational efficiency through the effective use of technology and a
focus on delivering a seamless parking experience for all stakeholders involved.
The primary cause of parking systems is the scarcity of parking spots in large cities. This is
because cities were established long before cars were regarded as a luxury. Cars were once
considered a luxury held by the 1% of the population, but due to a number of causes, they are
now owned by 40% to 60% of the middling class.
As a result, conventional parking solutions are outdated. The choice of parking system is
determined by the system's price, maintenance costs, and the space available for system
installation.
