QUESTION TAGS onaylama soruları

[değil mi?] = kendisinden önce mutlaka bir virgül koyulmakla beraber, soru cümlelerinden hemen sonra, cümlenin
yardımcı fiilinin olumsuz [eğer soru olumlu ise] ve soru şeklinde tekrar sorulup onay alınması durumunda, her
zaman cümlesinde kullanılır fakat eğer soru cümlesi olumsuz ise yardımcı fiilinin olumlu olur;
 She is swimming in the pool right now, isn’t she?
 Her father always comes home late, doesn’t he?
 Some of the students knew the answer, didn’t they?
 She hasn’t eaten breakfast yet, has she? [olumsuz soru cümlesi]
Birden fazla yardımcı fiilin olduğu durumlarda, daima ilk sıradaki yardımcı fiili kullanırız;
 He has been sleeping for two straight hours, hasn’t he? / You will be staying at a hotel downtown, wont’
you?
Olumlu görünümlü olumsuz cümleler’de, onaylama sorusunu olumlu şekilde sorarız;
 Our teacher never makes a mistake, does he? / He barely smiles, does he?
Can, could, should, must gibi modallar ile kullanımı;
 We should use a sunscreen, shouldn’t we? / She must buy herself a computer, mustn’t she?
Emir ve rica cümleleri ile kullanımı;
 Never do this again, will you? / Please pick us up at the airport, would you?
There… yapılarıyla kullanımı;
 There is a rainbow in the sky, isn’t there? / There was a problem with the car, wasn’t there?
This ve that soru cümlelerinin onaylama sorusunu it ile these ve those için onaylama sorusu ise they olarak
kullanılmaktadır;
 This / That is your house, isn’t it? / These / Those are your hives, aren’t they?
Belgisiz zamir’li soru cümlelerinin onaylama sorusu ise sadece they ve çoğul olduğu için de çoğul bir yardımcı fiil ile
kullanılır;
 Somebody entered the house, didn’t they? / Nobody is perfect, are they? / Everybody was happy, weren’t
they?
Have got | Has got [ingiliz] veya Have | Has [amerikan] yapılarıyla kullanılır;
 You have got an old radio, haven’t you? / She has got a tattoo on her right arm, hasn’t she?
 You have an old radio, don’t you? / She has a tattoo on her right arm, doesn’t she?
Bağlı cümleler’de kullanımı ise daima temel cümle’nin fiilini esas almaktır;
 They didn’t know we had won the cup, did they?
