Keeping view the current situation in pakistan and suggest at least
five point to stay positive :
Pakistan has faced a range of challenges in recent years. Some of the significant issues include
terrorism, political instability, economic struggles, poverty, and social inequality.
But In 2024, Pakistan faced one of the significant issue was the economic downturn, which had
a widespread impact on different sectors, resulting in job losses and financial difficulties for
many people.

During an economic downturn, the impact on mental health can be significant:


Financial stress, job insecurity, and the fear of not being able to meet basic needs can lead to
increased anxiety, depression, and overall emotional distress. The uncertainty of the future and
the pressure to navigate through financial difficulties can take a toll on mental well-being.

Pakistan’s economy is expected to rebound with Gross Domestic Product (GDP) :To grow
by 2.1% in the fiscal year 2024, after contracting by 0.17% in the previous year, according to a
report by Bloomberg. The growth rate will likely accelerate to 4.8% in the fiscal year 2025, the
report added.

No one knows exactly how many, but according to estimates around 40,000 attempt illegal
passage into Europe alone each year. Statistics made public by the Bureau of Emigration and
Overseas Employment reveal that more than 800,000 Pakistanis went abroad to seek better
economic prospects just last year.13-May-2023

Suggestions :
Staying positive during an economic downturn can be challenging, but here are five points to
help you navigate through it:

1. Focus on what you can control: While you can't control the overall economy, you can control
your own actions and mindset. Focus on things like personal growth, building skills, and
exploring new opportunities.

2. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical and mental well-being. Engage in activities that
bring you joy and help you relax, such as hobbies, exercise, or spending time with loved ones.
3. Seek support: Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends and family. Share your
concerns and seek their advice and encouragement. Sometimes, talking things out can provide a
fresh perspective or offer solutions you hadn't considered.

4.Access mental health resources: Look for affordable or free mental health services in your
community or online. Many organizations offer counseling, therapy, or helplines that can provide
support and guidance during challenging times.

5.Stay positive and practice gratitude: It's important to maintain a positive mindset and focus
on gratitude for the things you do have. Take time each day to reflect on the things you are
grateful for, no matter how small they may seem. This can help shift your perspective and
promote a more positive outlook.
