Introduction

Leadership goes beyond management; it takes a thorough understanding of the factors

that influence one's strategy because motivational factors influence it. My leadership style is

intimately influenced by cleanliness and motivation, which interact with one another in a

complex manner. In this post, I reflect on my present leadership position within a vibrant

community. This study aims to investigate the major ways my innate drive is influenced by

recognition, accessibility of resources, opportunities for progress, and the dynamics of

communication (IEduNote, 2023). This research builds on the numerous successes and failures

that come with being associated with community leadership.

Given the need to coordinate a group's actions and cater to the requirements of a diverse

variety of individuals, leadership in a community setting is more difficult to achieve than in other

settings. This introspective examination is being conducted to determine the factors responsible

for my growth and the hygiene factors that undermine my perseverance when they are not there

(IEduNote, 2023). Taking cues from McClelland's wants theory and more specifically the need

for affiliation, the purpose of this research is to shed light on how interpersonal relationships

influences community leadership practices.

As we will see in the next section, it is vital for successful leadership to possess a

profound understanding of one's driving reasons and a comprehensive attitude to hygiene

components. In the following paragraphs, we will investigate real-life examples from my

community leadership, which will comprehensively analyze how these factors significantly

influence my motivation (IEduNote, 2023). Through the process of participating in self-

reflection, you will be able to get valuable insights that will assist you in optimizing your

motives and expanding the effect that you have as a leader in your community.

Reflecting on Leadership Practice

The power of acknowledgment has emerged as a powerful motivational element in

directing communal activities. A powerful resonance occurs when I get acknowledged for

successful initiatives; this not only boosts my drive but also strengthens my dedication to future

undertakings. On the other hand, the quantity of readily available resources has emerged as a

hygiene issue that influences my motivation (Iver, 2023) . My capacity to lead successfully is

directly proportional to the amount of resources that are available to me, and any deficiency in

resources might create obstacles that are detrimental to my drive (Iver, 2023).

The availability of possibilities for both personal and professional development is another

significant component that has played a crucial role in my path toward becoming a leader. I

experience a rise in my innate desire whenever I am given opportunities to broaden my skill set

and take on new tasks (Iver, 2023). Inadequate communication inside the community

organization has been shown to be a demotivator, which is the opposite of what was described

before (Iver, 2023). When it comes to successful leadership, communication that is both clear

and transparent is very necessary. Any communication breakdown in this area may result in

misunderstanding, dissatisfaction, and decreased motivational levels.

McClelland's Needs Theory and Personal Drivers

The wants theory developed by McClelland has shed light on the fact that my most

excellent motivator is the desire for connection (Iver, 2023). The findings of the Human motives

Theory exam during Week 2 Discussion 2 confirmed that my motives are congruent with the

desire to cultivate robust connections with other people (IEduNote, 2023). My dedication to

promoting cooperation and a feeling of community inside the business exemplifies how this

affiliation-driven motivation presents itself in my leadership style.

Maximizing Personal Motivations

Implementing targeted initiatives that are matched with the urge for connection is

something that the community organization can do in order to maximize my personal incentives

(Iver, 2023). My desire for strong interpersonal connections may be considerably satisfied by

having an atmosphere that encourages community and collaboration (Iver, 2023). This can be

accomplished via activities that develop teams and objectives that all members of the group

share. Moreover, the provision of chances for joint initiatives and the organization of social

events within the community can further contribute to enhancing my motivation.

Conclusion

To summarize, to be a good leader, it is necessary to be fully aware of the variables that

motivate and those that are hygiene-related. As I reflect on my previous experiences within a

community context, I have seen the significant influence that acknowledgment, the availability

of resources, possibilities for advancement, and good communication have had on my

motivation. My fundamental motivator is the desire for affiliation, which McClelland's needs

theory has further defined. This has influenced my leadership style towards the development of

strong interpersonal ties. Recognizing and resolving these variables is essential to maintain a

leadership position within the community that is both motivated and influential.
