Sub: Preparation of panel of Air Customs Superintendent

(ACSs)/Air Customs Officers (ACOs) for posting to Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad against 25% quota-regarding

Kind attention is invited to above references issued by the Board

on the captioned subject.
2.It is proposed to draw a panel of Superintendents/ Inspectors for posting as
ACS/ACO, as the case may be, at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International
Airport, Ahmedabad against following 25% quota vacancies meant for outside
Central Excise (now CGST) Zones

3. The guidelines, terms and conditions as contained in the Air pool

policy issued vide Board’s letter dated 15-02-2019 is applicable in respect of
selection of the officers. Normally, the period of deputation at the Airport is
two years which may be extended by one more year. However, an officer
posted to the Airport can be reverted before completion of 2 years on
administrative grounds.

4. Further, Terms and conditions for selection and posting at International

Airport at Ahmedabad as Air Customs officers are as mentioned below:

The officers posted at the Airport will have to make their own arrangements for
residential accommodation.
The officers posted at the airport shall be considered as on deputation to the
Airport, but no Deputation allowance will admissible to them.
The officers posted at the Airport will be eligible to draw pay and allowances at
the same rates as admissible to them from time to time.
The officers will also be entitled to draw uniform and diet allowances as
admissible under the Rules.
In the event of their promotion to the higher grade, the officers will be liable to
be reverted back to their parent Zone/Commissionerate.

5. Further, the following candidates will not be eligible for consideration

for posting to International Airport:

a. Officers transferred out of Airport/Sensitive place on administrative grounds.

b. Officers with Vigilance/Non-Vigilance cases pending/contemplated or those
figuring in ODI/Agreed List.
c. Officers against whom penalty is operative.
d. Officers due for retirement within next three years.
e. Officers with less than two years of service as Inspector of CGST & Customs
as on 31.12.2023.

6. It is, therefore, requested to call for the willingness from Superintendents/

Inspectors and send the names of willing and eligible Superintendents/
Inspectors to this office latest by 25-01-2024 on mail id ccocusahm-
estt@gov.in.
7. Further, it is also to mention that as per Airpool Policy, preference will be
given to outside Central Excise Commissionerates (i.e. outside GST
Commissionerates)
8. In this regard, it is requested to forward history of postings, ACR grading
for the last 5 years, Vigilance clearance certificate and penalty imposed in
last 10 years,if any, in respect of the willing officers. Further, all applications
should be sent with the approval of the Competent authority and no advance
copy will be entertained.
9.This issues with approval of the Chief Commissioner of Customs,
Ahmedabad Zone.
