The document discusses psychoeducational assessment and evaluation of children with special needs. It notes that assessments are recommended when concerns arise about a child's cognitive, language, communication or social-emotional development. Assessments are also conducted when a learning or developmental disorder is suspected, as part of a school application, or to monitor a known disability. The assessments evaluate cognitive abilities, adaptive behavior, emotional/behavioral development, academic achievement, and social/communication skills. However, the school does not have a psychologist or medical experts, so assessments are based on parent reports and the child's performance.

Explain the Psycho Educational Assessment and Evaluation of Children
with Special Needs in in your School.
A psycho-educational assessment is recommended:
o when you are concerned about your child’s cognitive, language, communication and/or social-emotional development. Since we have students on this category and teachers handling is not a Sped Teacher but still we are focused on childs cognitive, language ,communication and social-emotional aspect .We do assesses them based on that to find their level and their problems. o when you want to find out if your child has a developmental or learning disorder. We do ask parents about their developmental or learning disorder to .find out how we can communicate and interact with their kids with disabilities o when it is requested as part of a school application process. As a Teacher we don’t look at them because of their disabilities ,although its hard for us to handle those students with special needs especially they’re combined with regular students ,and our school has no specific program for learners with Special needs. When it comes to application process they’ re welcome to enroll in our school. o when your child has commenced school and there are concerns about their learning, academic progress and/or attention. Our main concerns is to give them proper education were they will learn and enjoy communicating with others , we based the activities on their level and their mental age. o during your child’s schooling to monitor a known learning disability or to gain further understanding on the difficulties encountered at school. They are properly handled by teacher concerned and proper activities were given to them and we do monitor them time to time , and we do follow up parents about their activities at home. You will be given a child history form to be completed prior to the assessment day. During the application process we ask complete assessment analysis given by a psychologist or medical expert concerning learners status, from their parents if they consulted to psychologist or medical expert. The assessment is conducted by a psychologist.
In Government school we don’t have a school psychologist or any
medical experts for learners with special needs we just based our assessment given by Parents report and actual performance of a child.
