Testing
Point-of-care testing (POCT) is a
powerful concept that has been
introduced in the area of critical care
settings to provide patients with
decentralized, patient-centric
healthcare. Improved clinical results
may result from quick blood
measurements, especially of
electrolytes and blood gases. An
advantage of POCT, according to

to recognize elevated lactate and to escalate care rapidly can lead to

How it Started? One problem in the hospital setting I’ve noticed in the course of my clinical
internship is the delay in acquisition of samples and in relaying of rejected specimens, as well as test results. This
problem becomes more crucial especially for patients under critical care and in emergency settings. An important element
for these patients are their rapidly deteriorating physiological status as denoted in their vital signs. But, vital signs alone
does not give a clear picture of what is happening. Biochemical indicators such as electrolytes, lactate, LDH, and blood
gas, reflects the patient's current overall physiology. The problem lies in this, currently these indicators can only be tested
through blood inside the lab. This is where this invention comes in. Meet myPALL , the all around critical care partner.
