Mom’s Love
(by: Israel D. Jaylo)

There’s nothing
in this world a mother
can be compared to.

My sacrifices
and challenges in life
are my successes too.
My life could be full of
difficulties but it always
ends into happiness
because I know I was
able to make my
children happy.
When my husband
was put into
correctional facility
because of wrong
accusations and
passed away a year
after, I started to
perform the role of a
father and a mother to
my children. I earn a
living and do
household chores at
the same time. I
worked as a
domestic helper in
other countries just to
provide my children
with all their needs. It
was so painful to
leave my children to
my sister, but the only
thing I know is that I
have to do this for my
children’s future. After
working for almost 10
years in other
countries, I decided to
stay at home, attend
to my children and
take care of them. I
want to see them
reach their dreams.
And now my eldest is
a successful teacher
and my youngest will
soon graduate in
college.

(The pupils will answer

the motive question.)
